Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Gaston Hall, Georgetown University, March 3, 1974
What with Springsteen being on people's minds with his biopic currently in theaters, a sample of what, for me, is prime Bruce. These early-/mid-'70s shows, with David Sancious on keys, have a sophisticated rawness about them that sets them apart, absolutely, from his later, larger-scale, less-nuanced work. Not to mention that hearing Danny Federici and Garry Tallent on accordion and tuba, respectively, for "Wild Billy's Circus Story" made me very happy.

My day's been alright! I went to my campus to record some ✨ dance videos ✨ and I got home not too long ago. Had a bomb shower, drank some water, you know how it is. Now I'm planning on doing an assignment for my Linguistics class and then try to write for EN a.k.a demon Mike to close off the night. Probably should include dinner somewhere in the middle there aksjdfhs.
I would count dancing as fun, yes. Since my friend, the one who asked me to dance so he could record it and stuff, works at the university's library, they allowed us to dance inside which was pretty cool! We recorded, like, five videos and now I'm waiting for him to edit them and stuff 👀 I also wrote more than I expected while on campus AND, not to brag, @werewolfashton made me some moodboards for the piece they bullied me into writing last night.
Which leads to: yes let's talk about a WIP. Putting it under a cut 'cause spoilers and NSFW stuff.
Right, so it all starts because I send this into the server:
Bada bing, bada boom, now we're talking about a 50s AU but I go a step further, sorta', and I'm like "Grease AU" because it's something I've had written down as a loose idea on my brainstorming doc, right?
So as to not Bore you with details, we talk about a bunch of little snippets and Images and stuff and then it gets horny, unsurprisingly, and so I'm democratically and forcefully elected to be the one to write this.

Phil Ochs was interviewed by Vic Sadot and Rich Lang, host of Interface, a WGTB Public Affairs Program, in Washington, DC in early May of 1973. The Sound Engineer was Skip Pizzi. Rich Lang announces the show and introduces Phil Ochs and Vic Sadot. Vic explains that Phil is in DC for a week long engagement at The Cellar Door. Vic asks Phil about Watergate, the Senate and the press. Phil talks about “the Watergate conspiracy” and the increasing possibility of impeachment of President Richard Nixon... Phil Ochs sings "Here’s to the State of Richard Nixon", an update of a song he had previously written and released as "Here’s to the State of Mississippi". Includes Phil's lyrics... Phil had just returned from South America. So Vic asked Phil about his travels in recent years. Phil covers the globe with his commentary on Vietnam and Cambodia, and his report on his most recent travels to Chile, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Bolivia, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Bali, Jakarta, Singapore, Thailand, the Phillipines, and Philadelphia. Phil describes the struggle going on in Chile with the democratic election of Salvador Allende, a socialist who nationalized the copper mines, a great national asset of Chile that came to be owned by ITT Anaconda. This interview was in May 1973, which is 4 months before the coup by General Pinochet. Unknown to us at the time, ITT and the CIA were working with the Chilean military to plan the attack on the elected Chilean government. The coup came on September 11, 1973, and Phil was deeply affected in a traumatic way due to his personal experience in Chile under the ambiance of hope under President Salvador Allende.
