On a funny note the animorphs ABSOLUTELY did have action figures. I know at least Rachel did where she turned into a lion (I owned it) and I think Cassie had a wild transformation. They were ugly as the devil’s feet and extremely unsuccessful and got rebranded into the beast wars line upon cancellation but they existed.
.......there was intersectionality between Animorphs and Beast Wars???????
NEW SONG TOMORROW I MIGHT DIE
Made up fic title: Vanilla Ice Cream Cake
Brenda calls three times to make sure Sharon’s on her way. The third time, Sharon snaps at her. She doesn’t like feeling rushed, she doesn’t like being handled, and it’s her birthday, so Brenda can just back off.
“I will get there when I get there,” she says more calmly that she feels. There’s a small pause and then Brenda says okay and they hang up.
When she gets back home with the dry cleaning and the wine and her toes done and her hair blown out sleek and smooth and shiny, it turns out that Brenda has made good on her promise. The living room his been cleared of shoes and sweaters and handbags and empty takeout containers. All the wine glasses are washed and hanging in their rack. Even the kitchen is clean and tidy. Counters wiped down, dishrack emptied, sink cleared out - Sharon stops, peers into the sink.
There’s a whole chicken in there. Which is weird since they’ve got dinner reservations.
“Honey?” Sharon calls. “Why are you defrosting a whole chicken?”
Brenda slinks in, half dressed and half made up. She’s got her foundation on, half her face contoured, is wearing just a slip.
“Well there wasn’t room and I didn’t have time to wait for you to come home so I could ask you.” She frowns. “I tried to pick something that would survive. We can cook it tomorrow, right?”
Sharon scrunches up her forehead and says, “Room for what?”
Brenda crosses the kitchen and opens freezer door. There’s a cake inside.
“But why is a birthday cake in the freez-”
“ICE CREAM CAKE!” Brenda yells excitedly, too happy about it to remain calm. Brenda sighs, stares at the cake with a happy smile on her face. “I love birthdays,” she says.
"Dude." (passionate)
