What is Mary Toft’s children?

Bringing shock and horror to 1726 England, the births of common woman Mary Toft were far from ordinary, expelling animals rather than human children. Upon claims that a miscarriage occurred, she became fascinated with rabbits, causing the unthinkable to come from her loins. Toft started “giving birth” to dead rabbit parts suddenly, bits of miscellaneous organs revealing themselves following powerful contractions, as well as pieces of cat ending up in the mixture. Doctors, some reputable surgeons with the royal family, were stunned. Prior to egesting furry creatures, she had issues with placental matter freeing itself of her body, but this went on for three months in public display.

Others were reasonably skeptical, and royalty launched an investigation. Even producing hares under strict surveillance or constant examination, Mary’s unfortunate predicament did not have an end until the hoax revealed itself fully. Her husband had been purchasing young rabbits, because due to Toft’s widened cervix in wake of the miscarriage, the now-famous liar could situate small pieces inside the womb. After that closed, she simply put the elements deep into her vaginal cavity before pretending to give birth. Multiple medical professionals had their careers ruined over their fervent belief in Toft’s story; later in life, the prolific trickster made no money from the ordeal, and had a real daughter later on with no animal fragments included.

We have an important announcement to everyone who has been supporting plenty.

plenty has decided to disband after “plenty Last Tour「Aoki Hibi」”, which starts from June 2 and will be held in 12 places, and “plenty Last Live 「Haikei。Mina sama」”, which will be held on September 16 at Hibiya Open Air Concert Hall.

To all fans and those involved who have been supporting plenty until now, thank you very much. Because of you, plenty was able to make music and keep on promoting for 8 years since debut even though many things happened. The members and all staffs want to thank you from the bottom of our heart and we will do our best until the end, so that everyone can enjoy  “plenty Last Tour「Aoki Hibi」” and “plenty Last Live 「Haikei。Mina sama」”.  We are looking forward to seeing you at the lives.

Please support us until the very end.

【Message from the members】

plenty has decided to disband with the live on September 16 at Hibiya Open Air Concert Hall.  Sorry for the sudden announcement.

After all three of us talked with each other, we came to the decision that from now on, we would rather express music as individuals than as plenty.  There was no objection between the members, and I believe that we made an extremely positive decision.

Of course, it was all due to you that plenty was able to promote until now. Thank you very much.

Our last tour starts in June.  I’m thinking of burning myself out then.

Well see you then.

I am really sorry that this announcement came so sudden. Every fan out there who has been supporting us until now, thank you so much.

Promoting as plenty for whole 13 years since high school, I will hit the stages of the tour in June and our last live at Hibiya with this feeling!! I’m gonna enjoy until the last moment with everything I got!!

It might be a selfish request,  but please be with us until the end.

The moment I read this announcement I was still on my way home, riding the Viennese subway. If you saw an Asian girl crying silently with tears flowing and a dirty running nose, it was me. 

I still remember the first time when I listened to plenty. It was on the way to my Japanese class. I put plenty’s music into my mp3 player because someone recommended it on livejournal, saying that the vocalist has a very unique voice, so I decided to give them a listen.

My first song was “hazureta tenki yohou”. Even though I couldn’t understand everything, but those lines I understood hit me right in the heart. Not to mention Enuma’s voice, which sounds nonchalant at first, as if nothing interests him, but later sounds as if he is screaming even if no one pays attention to him.

I was impressed. Utterly.

Yet. It compares nothing to my first live concert of plenty years later. I will never forget the feeling, as if I was brought to the outer space, with nothing around me but plenty’s music. Nothing will ever, ever, ever replace plenty in my heart. I am grateful for knowing such a band. I will keep on singing their songs. 

If you have the chance to go to their last tour and live, please do so. I’m sure it will be something that you will remember for the time you are alive.

And I, I will continue this blog. Even if there will be no new contents anymore, I will still come back.
