Watching Letterkenny rn, and I just love seeing the elements of Jacob tierney’s style develop as I get further into the show.

The season 8 finale gave me the club scene vibes. Completely different story, but the use of music, the lack of dialogue, the changes in the speed of the camera, the use of reactions from the characters, callbacks to previously set behaviours and actions from the characters and twisting them just enough to the left to understand something is going on, etc…

An absolute masterpiece if I’ve ever seen one.

The scene where Daniel asks Louis who Armand goes for when dumb exploitative assholes aren’t available and Louis responds with

“Someone half in love with an ease full death”

Just hits so hard. Like, look at this shit.

And tell me he’s not talking about Daniel here.

The ominous stare. The music. The pause. Daniel having

AND THEN

And then there’s the dialogue shortly after (same convo) where he quotes the same thing Armand says at the end of the episode.

I already kind of thought it was very likely that Louis and Daniel were having their memories messed with before this episode but damn.

This basically confirmed it.

I’m loving all the theories surrounding the weirdness that is Louis, Lestat, Armand and Daniel.

Yes. Feed these to me.

I want to know more about these deranged old men.

Is Alice actually Armand? Maybe.

Is Alice actually fake or a mix of herself and memories of Armand? Also maybe. (And if Danny boy struggled to rememeber anniversary dates thats a whole other thing on its own)

Is Louis still in love with Lestat? Of course.

Is Armand and Louis being suspicious about their relationship? Definitely.

Also, I’m totally vibing with Daniel on this one. Give me all the tea (and the sass. That telenovela scene TOOK ME OUT)

Hey y’all, you know that scene where Armand tells Daniel in s2 e5 that Daniel is going to teach him how to be fascinating.

We never see that.

Boom.

Proof that the devils minion chase happened in the past and is going to be mirrored in the present day but with Daniel chasing Armand instead of the other way around.
