Jack Spicer Headcanons (that aren't related to the DP crossover I've posted prior)
Jack is a Polyglot. He doesn't Flex this too much, since those Damn Xiaolin Warriors would find a way to mock him for it (not Omi tho) that he keeps it to himself. He learns languages for fun when he's not doing other things, it helps him to relax. Thus far he is conversationally fluent in, in no particular order: Mandarin, English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Nordic (I think that's what the language is called), Klingon, Tolkien Elvish, and he WAS working on whatever flavor of magic language Wuya knows but stopped when she left him. He can also read all of the list plus a few extras for funsies, like Minecraft enchantment table. None of these include his programming languages.
Jack is actually shorter and skinnier than we think; most of his clothing in show, I think, is padded for cushioning and protection bc none of these monks hold back against his sting bean looking ass, and his boots are steel toe, anti slip, and platform shoes. I know he wears the monk robes for a bit in the show and I'm choosing to believe this anyways. Mans found a way or something lol
Jack latched onto Chase Real Quick and not just because of the Rule of Cool. I think that in the context of the show, Jacks folks are bad parents, and I think it's worse than what we see on screen. Jack saw a stable adult that tolerated him more than his folks and latched on TIGHT. 100000000 daggers to the heart when I had the thought. Chase Young I might have to throw hands with you
Per the above, I guarantee you that Jack made DAMN SURE to NEVER let Chase know that the man was the closest Jack has had to Reliable Adult Figure. Hence the Hero Worship cranked to 11 - can't see the Yearning if you're too annoyed by the Childish Behavior
Jack gets out more than the show implies, which is "not unless it's for shen gon wu." Mans is definitely going to technical conventions, cons of all types, but it MUST interest him. If he's bored, he's out.
I personally think that Jacks home has 3 security settings: Jack (ie none for him he owns the place) and the fam, the xiaolin warriors, and Everyone Else. Because I DOUBT that there aren't cameras EVERYWHERE or WAY more armed protection on the property; Jack is shown to be enough of a sap to not want to kill the kiddos when they steal his shit. Specifically Omi bc they're friends. Everyone else faces his best security. Oh and can't forget Level 4, the Taking My Toys And Leaving mode, I have no doubts that Jacks thought about throwing in the towel and has a security mode for just that occasion that WILL properly keep everyone out.
Jack does Robot Mouse competitions for fun and to stress test certain hardware. Refuses to break any records with parts that aren't on the market bc then where's the challenge? The competition?
If Jack were a dragon, I don't think he'd be the lightning or the metal dragons. No that'd be Too Easy. Not that those aren't ALSO good fits for him but still. If he were a dragon it'd be for something completely unrelated to his life's work, because that's exactly his luck. Something something plant growth dragon?
If Jack's parents are so shit then I think Jack's favorite actual family member is his grandparents. There's a fic I read many years ago that gave him a grandma and it was so good that I was convinced she was canon until I went looking. If I find it again I'll link it here.
I think Jack would do super well with magic if he wanted to. It's programming but with Words and Energy as opposed to computers and code. Wuya be a better magic teacher 2k25.
