Crazy to think that not even 2 hrs away from me, there is an active shooter on a college campus and I am just driving to work as usual. I ordered donuts for Valentine’s Day tomorrow, no doubt some of those other kids did, too. It was just supposed to be a normal day at college for them and now it’s turned into one of the worst days of their lives. Fuck this country and its love affair with guns and the fucking NRA.

I've been more moderate on gun control throughout my life but I'm getting to the point I straight up want a nation wide ban and buy back program. 5000+ ppl murdered with guns this year 6000+ more lost to suicide a mass shooting literally every other day three young people murdered this week for complete accidents (knocking on the wrong door, pulling into the wrong drive away, trying to get into the wrong car, ALL accidents)

I cannot even begin to comprehend how parents in the USA can send their children to school (a place that is meant to be safe for them) knowing in this year alone (FIVE MONTHS) there has been 215 mass shootings, twenty-six of these being school shootings.

It took one school shooting (the Dunblane massacre in Scotland) for citizens of the UK to give up their fire arms, and this heinous event has never repeated.

How many more innocent lives have to be lost until the USA decides enough blood has been spilt on a completely avoidable phenomenon.

This is not nature. We do not pray and hope it never happens again. This was not a volcanic eruption, or a tsunami. This was a person with a gun; a gun that was so easily accessible that innocent children have passed and families are mourning. We do not pray for the avoidance of reoccurrence. We act and enact.

Are the lives of innocent children really less important then your right to bare arms?

Do better. Do something.

Do men get told not to leave there drinks uncovered, or to not reject advances?

Women get murdered for saying no to men.

When does it stop? When is not ‘don’t rape women’ and instead it’s

When is enough dead women enough to show we aren’t safe ever.
