I’ve lost the ability to write but I can at least plot bunny a CC AU where...

Killian and Liam Jones are fostered by some shitty dude out in the country taking in kids so he can use them to get money and run his repair shop or whatever.

David and Killian go to the same elementary school and become best buds after they rescue a puppy from being picked on by some shitty older kids.

They grow up together and at some point around their senior year Killian shows up at Dave’s house with a black eye and some bruised ribs and Dave punches that dude in the fucking face (@winterbythesea and I agree on the absolute charm of a punch-happy Dave).

Killian decides to go to a trade school or some kind of sailing program, idk, I haven’t decided, and Dave leaves for college and they don’t see each other for a while but they send each other dumb texts all the time.

The pup they rescued gets old and sick so they come back home at the same time because she’s gotta get put to sleep; and they get sad and drunk and... kiss? Almost kiss?

I don’t have it all figured out, but point is u bet ur butt it’s a friends to lovers AU and it will be full of tropes.
