I have this headcanon that when they decided to get married, Aziraphale - bed/dynamics positions of bottom/top or whatever bs abt this being discarded given the character's personalities - Aziraphale, our lovely and polite Angel is 100% ready to go to hell to ask for Crowley's hand yk? (Its a crack!idea) However he doesn't keep up to date about hell hierarchy so the conversation with Crowley goes:
A: So, I will be asking your hand to that- that big monstrosity- I- I mean, to Adam's father?
A: Your hand, Crowley! We must do this the right way!
C: I- I don't think this is necessary-
C: Alright... but uhm... no, not Satan.
A: Who else then? Isn't he the father of all demons or something?
C: Not at all like that, I'm a fallen Angel, Aziraphale.
C: *completely about to cave a hole and bury his head in it*
C: You know... you should ask... Her.
C: yes, Her- look, just a prayer might do it.
And then Aziraphale would fucking freak out because he would have to ask to God themselves to- to marry demon Crowley and he would COMPLETELY make a big deal about this. Like, worry about the wedding? No. Let's make everything perfect to talk and finally meet god.
