goddammit Andor is so good. The perfect blend of tragedy and hope

#im not a star wars person #like i watch most of the live action stuff with varying degrees of enjoyment #but rogue one and andor are great independent of the star wars universe #its like watching a WWII movie where you know that eventually there is triumph #but no everyone thats fighting is going to get to see the end #which is heartbreaking #but it gives andor / rogue one actual stakes #which are missing from many of the other installments #i dont think i can ever be normal again about Cassian #and Luthen and Kleya and Vel and and and etc #andor #rogue one #diego luna #cassian andor #star wars

adventures in trying not to get adopted by an outdoor cat:

1) made the mistake of feeding her (she's hungry!) and now she and my cat are staring each other down, leaving me unable to go get the plate because I can't open the door without risking morgana getting out or merlin getting in

2) finally made it outside to grab the plate (now it has ants, eww) but now merlin is adorable and how am I supposed to get inside? she has the loudest purr and she's all up against me, I am weak

I will undoubtedly learn nothing from this experience and go through this again shortly. trying to figure out how to put water out for her without it immediately being full of bugs. this saga will continue.

#for the record I did not have anything to do with merlin being an outdoor cat #very anti outdoor cats here #it's bad for the cats it's bad for the ecosystem #please keep your cats indoors #but I just moved in here and merlin appears to be queen of the neighborhood clowder #no fear very friendly and seems more like an abandoned pet than a feral cat #which is heartbreaking #but I can't take her in right now #I think she has fleas and idk how to get a flea collar on her or if it would even work if she's still outside #and I'm not about to get fleas in my house or on morgana #and morgana does *not* like merlin #(which is just acting out chapter three of my dissertation and is hilarious)#but I'm hoping over time I can do more for Merlin #at least starting with giving her some food and maybe water when I figure it out #she's a good baby and she deserves a little treating #cats #cat things #black cat #taking care of neighborhood cats is more trouble than I imagined

the way so many people see sam eagle and are all like "booo he sucks he looks like john c calhoun and he's mean!". i don't get it. like yeah sam eagle DOES suck. and he IS the worlds biggest capitalist and he IS probably a climate change denier. but i LIKE him. i will not stand for sam eagle hate
