After Hours: 1965 (Hagrid&Scott)
As soon as the older man had mentioned that there were magical creatures at the Hogshead that had been all Scott could think about. He’d decided that next time Hagrid mentioned he was going then he’d innocently surprise him.
After dinner he’d wandered down there behind some of the older students. If there was one thing that he’d learnt from being surrounded by creatures when he was younger was to stay out of sight and become that shadow you catch in the corner of your eye.
Scott hid himself on the upper floors that were a lot quieter than the bustling bar below. Catching sight of a bowtruckle being forced into a mans coat he paused. The part of his Dad in him began to show as he wanted to go and confront the stranger. The bowtruckle didn’t seem too happy to be shoved into a pocket and cruelty wasn’t something Scott could allow.
He became lost in his thoughts as the subject of his Dad came up. He hadn’t seen him in months. They weren’t really speaking. Well, Newt wanted to. Scott refused. Now he was starting to think why? There wasn’t much point to this silence on his behalf. Maybe he should send him an owl?
