You know what, while I’m here lauding another groundbreaking show…
There’s probably a good handful here who have never even encountered ‘Queer as Folk’.
Do you like a hot, dickish, dominating-yet-service-oriented top like Ilya? A man with an asshole father who queer-shamed him beyond words? A man whose bravado is broken only by the guy least likely who he secretly idolizes and is the only one who can eventually see right through to his soul?
Allow me to introduce you to Brian Kinney, service top of service tops with his deep, dark, brooding heart, and lopsided smile to rival Ilya Rozanov. Get through some initial character development and this man will explode your heart into a million pieces at the end of season 1 and put it back together again in S2.
If you can find it with the original soundtrack its SOOO much the better. Most streaming versions didn’t bother to buy the rights to the ridiculous amount of great music pumping out on the original but the DVDs had them at last check.
We all need something to occupy out hearts until next season 😉
