My thirst for poly romance stories is never satiated cause even if it sometimes happens in plots, it's always in shows I find mediocre at best 😔

The only ones who did it right for me so far are all in the past

Sense8 slow burn as kind of side line to the main plot to 2 happy wholesome throuples of different styles -> one classic m/f/m with surprise bi/pan men and one m/m/f gay couple with female third in a passive sexual way for her which is an interesting dynamic

3 Will Be Free love how they got together and lived like that openly. the ending is a happy one just with one switching to a more open option

Siren it was so good with monster fucker bonus but then they had to make them ooc in the last season and breake them up for forced heteronormative reasons.... cause we can't have nice things on public TV... but till then it was peak

Three of Us love how they got together and navigated as well. ends unfortunately with the cliffhanger of them possibly meeting again after a big fallout break up, they could get back together... it was supposed to become a full produced series from there but idk if that will ever happen. it depends on the views and audience

Unlock Your Heart is only an implied after canon outcome but the development is delicious messy. not in the jealousy sense. more that the one who tried to manipulate a couple to split falls for both of them and they for her lol

Honorable mentions of okayish stories I never finished but the poly part was neat I guess

This post is prompted by the new possible poly shoutout for Blackout.

I started the first episode a while ago before I knew of the possible 3some outcome but I already didn't like the beginning of a couple being close to breaking up cause they got bored of eo 😔 and now knowing of that twist of them getting a third, it heavily reminds me of the real life throuple ThrupleDaily, they had a similar getting together but their third just broke up with the og couple now after years 🙈💔 Besides that, Blackout sounds more like a casual 3some situation than poly? (there is a difference, a 2some ons or fwb doesn't automatically make a couple either)

All this house stuff is giving me so much anxiety because it reminds me of 2020-2023 when my house no longer was just my home. It became my workplace and a school. It no longer was my safe space. Finally in 2023 and 2024 I was able to breathe and felt like home was safe again. Now with my house an absolute mess and construction zone, I feel like my home is no longer safe. I truly do feel physically ill over this. And I know it will pass. And Dan will be the practical one who is able to make it seem not so crazy. I just feel so out of control right now and I hate it so so so much.

Fuck working culture. While I understand that other employers want to know if you have been employed in the past, but that idea is really ableist to me because going to work means I’m forced to mask and act like a human being 24/7 and I just can’t do it 😭 at home I would just sprawl on my bed when I’m tired and lock in for several hours straight when I have enough caffeine and sugar. woe of being an artist. I feel like I take it too literal all the time. People are always judging me like I do nothing, I can’t even function like a human in society. Because the pursuit of art for art’s sake is somehow seen as less human than masking and working a corporate job. Sure. You’re all more like pigs in a pen than me.

On a side note ykw, my cat is happy I guess. I got him right before covid so when he grew up, I was always home with him. That gave him a degree of separation anxiety whenever I leave during the day. He always wanna sleep with me where I can watch him and he can watch me. Don’t get a pet because they will challenge your loyalty to the corporation! joke

I wore my heeled boots two days in a row and then I sat badly in bed for about five minutes last night while I responded to a work email (I know, I know) and that was apparently enough to send my back into spasms. I took a muscle relaxer last night and slept decently, but I'm definitely not feeling 100% today.

This morning when I was leaving for work, I saw my mom sitting cross-legged on the couch and I just thought to myself, 'I wish I could sit like that.'

I miss having a back that I did not have to think about whether everything would hurt or hurt later. Really grateful for the standing desk at work today.
