Tbh I was kind of afraid to post a drawing of this ship bc I know people won’t like Whisper being shipped with someone other than Tangle, but whatever, it’s my ship, it makes me happy, and I shouldn’t have to be ashamed of it! (Not that I don’t respect any other ships, though!)

I'm deciding between calling it "Eclisper" or "Whispclipse" lol

Random Eclisper/Whispclipse rant woohoo 🎉

I started shipping this when I realized Eclipse and Whisper share many similar and personal things, specific to them. Starting with something VERY specific only to them, both have experienced the loss of people that were like family to them, the cause of both major losses being tied to Shadow in some way (Team Dark/GUN for Eclipse, and the Shadow Androids for Whisper.)

Being able to bond over this similarity could lead to trust and understanding on both ends, strengthening their bond with one another even just as a beginning friendship. When talking about her past with the Diamond Cutters, Whisper clarified they had been betrayed and killed, with Whisper being the only survivor and was left feeling extremely guilty over their deaths because of it. Sound familiar? It should, because nearly the exact same thing happened to Eclipse, where the Black Arms viewed Shadow as a traitor to their kind, and he killed the remaining of their species, leaving Eclipse feeling betrayed and hurt.

What's nice about these two is the fact that they could both apply to the idea of two tragic characters who need to learn to heal from the past, and deal with their traumas, which they can do together by understanding each other's sides of the story. 

Moving on, they're a perfect example of the opposites attract trope, which I ADORE when done right. Their personalities clash, with Whisper being silent, introverted and somewhat lacking in self-confidence. Eclipse, however, is loud, brash, egotistical and EXTREMELY confident. Eclipse can be the one to give Whisper the encouragement she needs when she needs it, meanwhile Whisper can be the one to help restrain him from making quickly-thought-out or rash decisions, (besides Shadow of course,) helping him learn to not be so impulsive.

They are literally "completely and utterly feral x the only one with some chill" and that makes some room for character development between them both. Also, something that is moreso based on my personal observations of both characters, Eclipse would be a talker, while Whisper would be a listener. Although, if the roles were to reverse given the situation at hand, I believe Eclipse, having shown to be genuinely caring towards the people he trusts, wouldn't mind being the listener if that's what Whisper needs him to be.

And lastly, just something cute that might've been obvious, they both care for a group of wisp (or in Eclipse's case, the Dark Arms, but those are just wisp with Black Arms DNA so it's the same thing lol,) that they have grown to love like family and would do anything to protect. Plus I think it would just be cute if they're literally just minding their own business while Whisper's Wisp and the Dark Arms are out in the background causing chaos, and when somebody comes to ask what's going on both Whisper and Eclipse are just like "it's fine."  Eclipse has wisp parenting experience and so does Whisper XD

Shadow is just vibing then he all of a sudden gets Whisper brainrot transmitted directly to his cerebral cortex.

It’s safe to say he knows about Eclipse liking Whisper.

This is actually so funny 😭

Then when he asks Eclipse about it eventually he DENIES EVERYTHING LIKE CRAZY and Shadow just sighs.

"So I just happen to be bombed with thoughts about her whenever she talks to you?"

"I dunno, if that's the case then it sounds like YOU have a crush on her, not me"

Cue death glare
