Common white wave
Though Rochester duo Roses And Revolutions first won our hearts over with folksy, tender ballads a few years ago, the pair has turned a new leaf with their new music. A long awaited self-titled debut EP is slated to arrive on August 3rd via Nettwerk Records, and White Wave is our first taste of their new vibey tunes. Roses And Revolutions ventures into future bass inspired electronica and pop territory on the magnificent song. Band member Alyssa Coco uses colors as symbols of physical, mental, and emotional states, represented by strengths, weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and challenges that play out in one’s relationship to others and one’s own perception of self. Rhythmic chopping “waves” of dark surging synths and bold captivating vocals pull us into this engrossing ocean of sonic enrichment. White Wave is like Ella Vos’ electro-pop gone darker and more intense, embellished with Maggie Rogers meets Amy Shark like assurance and vocal splendor. Keep up with Roses And Revolutions via their website, here, as we await their debut EP.
White Wave
Interaction of incident light.
Transmitted from a pair of eyes.
Color wavelengths scattered.
Optically beautiful matter.
Homogenous to the blue skies.
A reflection in disguise.
Absorbed in varying intensities.
My best accidental finding.
