Jason stepped back a few paces from the door after knocking - after his last encounter with Sara he wasn’t entirely sure that she wouldn’t just punch him in the face. It would be deserved, but he really wasn’t in the mood to be resetting a broken nose tonight. And he still didn’t trust that his bloodlust wouldn’t rise to the challenge immediately and lead to another bout between them.
“Please don’t hit me.” He greeted when she finally opened the door, holding out the box in his hands between them like it might act as a shield against her ire. “Firstly, I brought ice cream cake so it’s going to melt by the time you’ve kicked the crap out of me.” He shrugged, giving a pointed look down at the box in his hands. “Second, I’m actually trying to say sorry for blowing up on you - so you’ll miss out on one of the rare occasions where I admit I was wrong.”
