Ok so I've been thinking about this speech from the Whomp King lately:

So the whomps build the buildings and pave roads, but I cannot help but think HOW?

They have small stubby arms and legs.

So this led me to coming up with a small headcannon as to how they can achieve this.

Basically, whomps can manipulate the earth in a manner that combines earth bending in A:TLA and the construction coven in ToH.

However since their limbs are small, they can only do so through their feet.

This has some small basis because in Super Mario Galaxy 2, we can see the Whomp King making small versions of whomps to help him fight Mario by summoning/creating them with his feet.

Sure that's (most likely) an ability that he has being a king and all, but it would make sense for his abilities to be more powerful than regular whomps. This would then mean regular whomps only possess the earth manipulation as I mentioned above.

I know this isn't that much well thought out, but I like the idea because how else would they do it?

Plus, I like making headcannons lol. It's just fun.

Whomp's Fortress' Location

So in Super Mario Galaxy 2 Mario enters a Galaxy Called Throwback Galaxy which contains Whomp's Fortress. We know this is the same one from Super Mario 64 for several reasons.

The title of the mission is "Return of the Whom King." This is telling us this is not the first time Mario has faced off against King Whomp. The first time being in SM64.

The second reason is a Bob-omb Buddy recognizes Mario saying, "you look sorta familiar, 'stache man! How are you doing?"

The name of the Galaxy being Throwback or Nostalgia Galaxy is probably a nod to it being from SM64. Things like the 64 Outfit is described in universe as nostalgic for example.

So turns out the paintings of SM64 can even take people to far off Galaxies, and not just other places in the Mario World.

people get so up in arms about that "Sonic eating mediocrity bowl" image that i wanted to draw a Mario version of it, just to see what will happen.

I know the much more accepted interpretation is that the Whomp King’s speech speaks of literal rocks, not Whomps or Thwomps, just… rocks in general that he views to be sentient. But the much more interesting interpretation to me is that he is talking about his fellow Whomps and how their kind is mistreated for their labor. It’s a neat look into the Mario world’s mechanics and systems and makes for a great character motivation, at least compared to him just being characterized as stupid.

More Among us headcanons cause i'm bored

Mario's partners (both Paper Mario RPG titles) : as crewmate : if you're part of the Koopa Troop, they suck balls. Will literally try to vote you out due to pure hatred, even if you're not the imposter.

Imposter : aims for Koopa Troop members without hesitation, but cant be bothered to kill Mario. Wusses.

Luigi : as crewmate : a decent one, does tasks and will not be picky when voting out. The only member of the Mario crew that's actually a decent player.

Imposter : sucks balls, his cowardice to kill even in the virtual world, says it all.

King Boo : as crewmate : will always vote out Luigi, regardless if he is imposter or not.

Imposter : relentless at killing, especially when he gets his hands on Luigi (if he's a crewmember). He's skilled at venting, after all he's a ghost, he's hidden himself from the face of the world before.

King Whomp : as crewmate : if he plays the computer, 95% chance he'll break it in frustration and leave the game on accident if he gets Swipe Card.

Imposter : sucks ass, usually makes kills in the most public of places. On the off chance he makes kills in the most isolated of areas, it won't be long before he is exposed.

Doopliss : as crewmate : will always vote out mario 1st out of pure hatred. A chill guy.

Imposter : skilled at kills, even more skilled at venting. Running around in sheets must have done a number on him.
