I couldn’t help but want to give my own spin on the three versions of Albedo from Genshin impact. 💛
Can you look up close and spot the differences? 🤭
Me when my merch demographic is myself
I love him. I'm still desiging charms
IT'S DONE!!!!
Mostly hand sewn with wires to hold up the plush and keep the shape of the lower leaves
(i had to redo this soooo many times)
2.3 ruined me I’m genuinely so happy seeing more about whopperflowers
albedo and his three brothers. some headcanons and design elements under the cut :)
All common enemies in Genshin impact are great in their own way!
Hilichurls have a close tight knit community and are more complex than the humans give them credit for
Slimes are cute
Whopperflowers
Treasure hoarders are all interesting in their mechanics and are easy to get materials from
Ruin bots are all funky little (big) creatures
Abyss mages are intriguing beings
Geovishaps and Geovishap hatchlings
Cicin mages are dope
Agents are also dope
Eye of the storm
Fatui skirmishers are all unique with neat fighting styles and special voice lines
That Was Pretty Wholesome (2.3 Update Spoilers)...
This whole event was pretty nice and was genuinely fun in my opinion. I really liked the Albedo content and that there had actually been three "Albedo"s. It really was an interesting plot device.
The friendship moments between Albedo, Bennett, Amber, and Eula (as well as the Traveler and Paimon) were incredibly sappy and had me grinning like a fool. Albedo's smile and his being happy with all of us visiting nearly sent me. I really like the idea of them being a friend group and Albedo being able to be friends with people "in his age range."
Joel calling Eula aunty and her friendship with Amber really brought out her soft side during this event and it was really nice to see. I also really liked how everyone was so nice to Bennett and was so quick to reassure him when he started blaming himself for everything going on. I also felt my heart beat into overdrive when the avalanche happened even though I was anticipating it the entire event. The cutscene for the fight with the third Albedo was amazing too.
The whopperflower boss fight was awesome if a bit of a pain in the neck. The cutscene was amazing, especially when Albedo stabbed it. Luckily, co-oping with other random players was plenty of fun and I was able to get all of the rewards in only about an hour or two.
Now all I have left to do is grind ascension materials for Itto and Gorou until Act III comes out. I was surprised he empathized with him and I want to see what will happen between the first Albedo and our Albedo - if anything will happen at all. When he pulled out that sword, was he going to attack the first Albedo? Or was that before he went after the Whopperflower!Albedo?
Poor Albedo has a really messed up family dynamic before he came to live in Mondstadt. His mother was horrible, one brother ate the other before he was corrupted and died alone on a mountain, the brother that was swallowed survived and took his youngest brother's form before corrupting a whopperflower in a plot to kill him and his friend so that he can take their place, and Albedo himself is the youngest sibling who is the one who has to deal with the fallout because his mother ran to coop and disappeared.
Thank goodness he has Klee and Alice (even if Alice is a little messed up in the head too).
