so today is going to be my busiest in a while and i am stressing over my deadlines but i almost forgot to feed blackie this morning and he was sitting at the top of the tank expectedly. his eyes said “mother why have you wronged me in such a cruel and unusual way?” (he gets fed at around 7-8 am but it is 9:30 am). once he was fed he was happily swimming around the tank ignoring the fact that he was staring daggers at me when i walked back in the room from my zoom meeting. i love you too blackie.

K, so a bit of backstory: I live with my parents and have anxiety, depression, & insomnia which makes it really hard for me to gain any sort of motivation for doing anything. I'm also doing an online course to gain a cert 3 in retail. now my parents are constantly on my non-motivated ass to get the modules done, which is cool and I appreciate that they're trying.

BUT EVERY GODDAMN TIME that I manage to scrape up some motivation to do my course on my own I’m told “come out here and do this” or “come out here and socialize” and when I tell them that I’m doing my course they go, “Well, you should have done it earlier then.” or “You can finish it after your done here.” And all that motivation goes down the toilet.

Another story

I saw this gif where Jesus stole food from a child (a guy sits with a baby in his lap and is eating. He holds the spoon close to the baby, but proceeds to eat the spoon himself, or well, not eat the spoon, but you get it) and I remembered this videotape of me as a child. And since I posted the story of my mom forgetting me at kindergarden, I thought it would be fun to post this as well. So my mom sits with me in her lap, eating at the dinner table. You see her giving me some food and then eating some herself. Then, she holds some food close to my mouth, like she's going to give me some food. And then, she eats it herself. She teased me with it and then ate it herself. You can see my face going like "wtf woman? Why did you do that?" And her going "Looks good huh? Well, sucks to be you. You're just a small child who can't eat on your own. Lemme eat this onnomnom" Of course she didn't say this, but the action spoke for itself. And then, SHE REPEATED IT. She did this like 4 more times before she was like "nah it's too cruel, here have some" And when we were watching this tape, someone pointed out that it was mean, either me or my sister, and mom agreed but proceeded to say "I guess it was funny" Thanks mother. I shall remember this
