His hair is a bit crazy from the shipping, but he got here quicker than I thought he would! Considering his projected pre order ship date was the 21st~!

I wish the utilized Feldspur more, but I’m glad they turned him into a marketable plushie 🥺

"Wuh - Oh, Miss Elphaba!!"

"Dorothy! Oh, thank the Ozma-" Elphaba grabbed the girl and pulled her into a relieved hug "Chistery and his friends weren't rough on you, where they? We tried to make it look like an abduction to fool the guard --"

Dorothy pulled away from the hug to give the witch a rather frazzled expression "It Felt like one!! I didn't know you had Flying Monkey friends!!"

"No time to explain right now - you'll get a formal introduction once the evening comes and I know you weren't followed" Elphaba fully parted the hug and pushed the girl gently towards the hall "Toto and the Lion you came with- they'll be down by the stables with most of the other Animals by now. Come"

Dorothy seemed taken aback by the quick pace that Elphaba was going at, pushing back against her to get her to stop walking. "Wait- Wait! What about- I was with-"

"That Tin man and Scarecrow?" Elphaba finished the question, looking quite satisfied with herself "Both should be sufficiently mangled if Chistery knows what he's doing-"

Dorothy's pitch rose as she panicked, turning and fully facing the witch "What????"

"Hm? Weren't those constructs Morrible gave you?" Elphaba revealed her hypothesis as if it had been a foregone conclusion.

"NO?!?!"

Elphaba paused "… Then what in Oz-"

"They were Boq and Fiyero!!!" Dorothy practically squeaked out the reveal. The silence between the two of them felt almost absurd.

"… Oh sweet land of Oz" Elphaba's face lit up in bright red and green like holiday lights.

"You didn't know??" Dorothy asked with an incredulous pitch

"I thought Fiyero was dead!" Elphaba announced, frazzled and beguiled.

"You THOugHT he Was DeAD?!?"

"Well, that didn't work" Boq pointed out, grunting and groaning as he forced his body to move, squeaking the whole time

"No shit, Tin Man" Fiyero's head let out a huff, rolled on it's side right by a bush "At least the guard was chased off and that one creep is dead"

"… I'm with you on that. wave your hand" Boq answered, already having started picking up the ripped-up scarecrow's various body parts and straw.

"Still can't find it?" Fiyero teased, getting a rather aggressive glare from the Tin Man.

"Shut up and wave, straw man!"

"I uh…"

Elphaba was understandably, sheepish as she approached the stables with Dorothy behind her, opening the doors and being greeted by Dorothy's Dog friend, and the lion - who Dorothy had informed her was the same lion cub from Shiz? The odds of that were astronomical.

"Oh, Dorothy!!!" Lion wailed at her arrival, clearly having been crying before they arrived he seemed to start back up in earnest, this time tears of relief.

"It's okay, Lion! I'm okay!" The girl tried to reassure her frightened friend, quickly approaching him and hugging him around his mane.

"Dorothy-y-y-y" Toto bounced "That was freaky!!! Wow!! Who are you again?? We saw you a while ago, I remember, cause you're green!"

"… Yappy" was all Elphaba said in response to the dog’s rambling

"He's always been yappy, even before he could talk" Dorothy commented.

"Hey!!" Toto took offense, letting out a little bark.

Dorothy giggled just a little, and picked up the dog "We gotta go get Fiyero an' Boq!"

"And I need a stiff drink when we're done" Elphaba huffed, looking over to the left side of the stables she’d walked Dorothy down to. "Feldspur, could you-"

"Feldspur?????" Dorothy nearly shouted the horses name - she remembered him!!!!

A somewhat familiar voice responded "Coming! Gosh, I'm quite popular today, it seems-"

As the horse came into view, Dorothy couldn't stop a grin as she bounced on her heels - after everything that had happened, it was nice to have a happy moment for a change. "Hi Feldspur! Do you remember me?"

Feldspur looked at Dorothy, focused before recognition hit him- "Wh- Little Dorothy Gale, Is that you??"

Dorothy nodded, looking almost relieved "Its good to see you - This is Toto, he's my friend" She gently jostled the dog in her arms

Feldspur took in the information further, and approached Dorothy, lowering his head to gently nuzzle the top of her hair "Its been a long time, it's quite good to see you as well, though from what I've gathered it's… not the best of circumstances"

"That's one way to put it…" Dorothy huffed "Toto, say hi!"

"He already has" Feldspur assured "Now…" he looked up to Elphaba "I am assuming you are here for more than just introductions? There is quite the look on your face.”

"What sort of look?" Elphaba asked defensively, getting a giggle from Dorothy, who quickly stopped and looked away when Elphaba glared.

"Never you mind" Feldspur chuckled "Now, what is it you came here for?"

"We have to go out into the haunted wood - Boq and… Fiyero, are there" Elphaba responded.

And with that announcement, the whole damn castle seemed to go into a tizzy

Little Yero‼️

“That’s the book you’re supposed to be reading for class?”

“No, that one didn’t have any fun pictures.”

It’s my Fiyero- but tiny. I just want little slice of life things with him 😭 that’s all.

I wanted horse of a different color Feldspur to have a little bit of a color shift while also sticking to one kind of range, so blue and purple it ended up being. The color shift became much harsher when I added the blanket onto Feldspur though, so oh well.

Get Stuffed

I really wanted to do a quick redraw of this scene because of my A Horse and His Boy fic! The plan was to do it last week, but I was only able to finally get around to it last night.

It’s not exactly as I want it to be, but I’m trying to get myself more ok about doing quicker pieces and not focusing on things being perfect. These last few pieces of art I’ve done for the fic have been good helpers with that I think. Slowly but surely

Long time no see with this thing! But after a very rough patch, I finally got back to this and finished this chapter! I think I really like how this chapter turned out? I think so. So I hope you enjoy it!
