So Auraline ( the first heir) was married to Roland Herondale ( one of the lost Herondales) and Emma says that Durendale is the sword of the hero Roland but she never says what his last name was my theory is that what If their both the same Roland,now it could be a coincidence that they both have the same name but what if the hero Roland is in fact Auralines husband and therefore Kit is decended from the owner of Durendale.

Anyway what if in the wicked powers Kit gets Durendale, I just think it would be really cool. And his signature weapon is a sword as seen in his frostbite artwork so.......
