so ive been thinking more about decks in relation to characterization and I've come to some conclusions about what Spamton and ERAM use.

My goal with those two was to find decks that... aren't exactly fun. Kris likes games, but finds the experience of playing Manhole awful, and is visibly shaken after Spamton NEO. So I went looking for decks that are both thematic and genuinely miserable.

My conclusions:

Spamton uses Gimmick Puppet FTK. Beyond the general puppet theming, the Gimmick Puppet FTK also has other theming in terms of Spamton being "modern" and "fast" compared to Tenna, how gimmick puppet is also used to give someone an awful item that hurts them, and FTKs being lame.

ERAM, meanwhile, uses Shaddoll. It's a relatively interesting deck with theming of corruption and shadows and all that that ends on...

a Special Summon floodgate. Whoopee.

Combined with Frightfur, this creates 3 distinct decks that share themes but have wildly different play patterns. Also there's various Shadow Games fun with strings theming.
