"Natasha, please," Wanda was ready to beg. This was the third time this morning she'd been denied.

"Please let you come?" Natasha smiled that terrifying, yet somehow incredibly arousing smile. "I will, Little One, but not until I'm good and ready. Begging for it will only delay it longer."

The rest of the day consisted of Natasha shoving her against walls or furniture, working her hard and fast until she was just about to come, then abruptly pulling away.

Movie Nights

“Everyone ready?” Nat asks. She tosses a handful of popcorn at Bucky (he’s in her spot) and drops between Steve and Wanda. Wanda laughs a little. Nat throws some at her, too, and when Wanda blocks the popcorn their fingers brush in midair.

Steve says, “I think so,” and Sam presses play.

It’s Clint’s and Nat’s idea, the movie nights. When everyone can make it, or most people, they make individual bags of popcorn and hole up on the couch in the living room. Not action movies, unless they’re comedies; usually they each pick a few options and they collectively vote. Or when that devolves, the person who makes the popcorn gets to pick.

(When that doesn’t work, it’s whoever manages to get their DVD in the player first. It’s usually Bucky or Tony. It would be Steve, probably handedly, but he’s happy to sit out.)

Today it’s Nat, Wanda, Steve, and Clint. They’re watching Pride and Prejudice, the one with Keira Knightley; Steve picked. He usually chooses period dramas.

“Sentimental,” Nat had commented the first time he’d chosen. Wanda had pinched her elbow, not hard, but Steve had just shrugged.

She doesn’t think she’s imagining the way his eyes go between her and Wanda. He says, voice and words pointed, “Seems like there’s a lot of sentiment these days,” and Nat can tell she’s blushing.

Wanda likes rewatching Harry Potter when she gets to pick. It’s usually due to the spellwork; after watching them, she typically tries mimicking a particular scene or five. She and Tony have gotten to talking about the theoretical side of magic and how similar it is to her powers.

They’re watching the sixth one now because it almost doesn’t count as an action film. It’s more of a rom com with elements of drama, Nat thinks. She’s not really paying attention; they’re at the part with Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, and the colors dance fantastically on Wanda’s face.

Clint catches Nat looking and elbows her. She elbows him back, and he laughs.

 ______

It’s difficult for everyone to be off call at once. There are usually a few days each month where they’re on alternating levels of availability, though, and these days they have a marathon of movies that they all know by heart. These days are the ones where Nat doesn’t bother about being sneaky and loudly calls the spot next to Wanda; Wanda’s accent is the most adorable thing.

Everyone chooses a movie and the lights go down and at once everyone’s critiquing delivery and setting and costume choices but Nat’s looking at Wanda every time there’s a lull.

It’s not until Rhodey puts Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on for the fiftieth time that Nat realizes Wanda’s looking back.

The lights come back on after the final strains of Les Mis fade out. Nat stretches, yawning, and Wanda pokes her stomach. Nat sticks her tongue out at her. She smiles.

“‘M gonna go sleep,” Steve says through a yawn. He nudges Bucky awake, and they say ‘goodnight’ and pad off to their room.

Their movement causes everyone but Nat and Wanda to stand and rub their eyes and slowly filter out of the room. Clint takes the popcorn bowls back to the kitchen, but before he leaves, he catches Nat’s eye and winks at her. Nat scowls back.

They’re the only two in the room. The air feels tense, but it’s the kind of tension that comes before a good thing. Like the way the air feels when it’s about to rain, Nat thinks.

Wanda laughs so suddenly Nat nearly grabs her daggers. Heart pounding, she says, “What’s so funny?”

Wanda shrugs. “I don’t know,” she says. She’s smiling in a way that says she does.

“What?” Nat asks. She’s a little exasperated, she can tell. She sits up and turns to face Wanda.

“Nothing, I promise,” Wanda replies. “Just…”

“Just what?”

“Do you maybe, and if you’re tired absolutely say no, but…do you maybe want to watch a movie? With me. Right now.”

Nat feels a slow smile dawning. “Right now?” Wanda nods, pulling on the corner of a pillow. “Is this a date?”

“Since you haven’t asked me yet,” Wanda replies. She’s smiling, but nervously. “So?”

Nat pretends to consider it for so long that she can tell Wanda’s this close to smacking her with the pillow. Before she does, though, Nat says, “I’d be honored,” and Wanda’s smile turns into relief.

“Good,” she says. She hops up and puts in the third Harry Potter.

It’s nice; Nat can finally put her arm around Wanda, and this time she doesn’t try to hide her amazement when the movie makes Wanda’s face luminous.

Nat starts nodding off around halfway through. Wanda starts snoring around when Harry sneaks into Hogsmeade, and they fall asleep with their arms around each other.
