Whumpmas in July - Day 8
What tropes or scenarios do you love or wish to see more of?
My favorite will always be: Situations where a character is kidnapped and held captive (bound and gagged at least at one point) for X reason (ransom, the whumper wants something from them or want to use them for their own evil plans) and their friends/found family must go and rescue them, and then see that moving reunion and the obstacles that everyone faces to return to a new normal in which the traumas persist... I never get tired of that ✨
Others that never get old: Characters passing out. Just losing consciousness by pain or exhaustion, or someone sedates them (whumper trying to capture them? Their own team trying to stop them from hurting themselves?), that moment of fear before everything blacks out... Delicious.
I'd also love to see more sibling whump situations: Characters searching for their missing siblings, never giving up; characters sacrificing themselves for their siblings; siblings tending to and caring for each other's wounds or illnesses, even if they have no experience doing so; siblings being captured together and used to torture each other; siblings who have fought in the past and grown apart, who claim to hate each other, but would take a bullet for each other (and actually do)… Yeah, good stuff.
