The Zonai Dragons of the Wild Era

It is widely accepted that Dinraal, Farosh, and Naydra were ancient Zonai priestesses who swallowed their Secret Stones.

However, I want to point out some things that have been clearly overlooked by the fandom. If they had Secret Stones, that would mean they were Sages.

You might ask "well, how are they Sages? Doesn't that mean there were 10 sages and to that I say... I don't know. Perhaps they were the only 3 Sages; much like Mineru, Sonia, and Rauru were the only 3 Sages until the Imprisoning War happened. (Though I doubt this for a number of reasons and but, we're not really getting into that)

But, what were they the Sages of? You think that's be easy: Fire, Lightning, and Water; right? Well... it's not that simple.

We have to look at Zelda and Ganondorf. Because when Zelda, the Sage of Time, draconifies, she doesn't become the Time Dragon, she instead becomes the Light Dragon, which is based off her secondary power: Light Magic. She's more prominent with Time Magic as that's why her Secret Stone amplifies that, but, she does also have Light Magic.

Ganondorf is far more tricky. His Secret Stone amplifies his Dark Magic. When he draconifies, he becomes the Demon Dragon. Now, this might mean that Nintendo didn't want to do "Dark Dragon" and thought it'd be cooler to call him the Demon Dragon since he was the Demon King.

So, the question is: when you draconify, does the Secret Stone then go and pull a switch-a-roo and amplifies your less dominant magic? If so, then... what's Ganondorfs? What does "Demon Magic" mean and what's the difference between Demon Magic and Dark Magic? Or does it mean by swallowing it, you're pretty much perfected in all your magics? Meaning that the Light Dragon is also theoretically pumping out Time Magic with the Light Magic we see coming off Zelda?

Well, let's assume it perfects all magic. It's easier.

We see Fire Magic coming off Dinraal, Lightning Magic coming off Farosh, and Ice Magic coming off Naydra.

But, I want to dive a bit deeper into this question, do they have... secondary magics? For that, let's go to the places the Springs they protect are

The Spring of Wisdom, the spring that Naydra protects, is in Lanayru, that's also the place the Water Temple is. We can assume then that Zonai Naydra was the Sage of Water, not a single other magic is running through her veins. (When she draconifies, she becomes the Ice Dragon, but Ice and Water are just the same thing so this doesn't matter to differentiate)

The Spring of Courage, the spring that Farosh protects, is in Faron. Deep in the Depths under Faron, is the Spirit Temple. But high in the sky is Thunderhead Isles. I believe that Farosh might've been the Sage of Spirit, but had significant Lightning Magic and may have created a place in the sky to practice much like how Zelda practiced Light Magic despite being the Sage of Time.

The Spring of Power, the spring that Dinraal protects, is in Akkala. And... there's nothing there. The Fire Temple isn't there, in fact, it's in Eldin which is nearby, but the Gorons are in use of this temple as their city, deep in the Depths. So... what's going on? Well, for that, we need to go back to what the Spring of Power is: in Skyward Sword it's the Earth Spring, a spring right outside you guessed it: the Earth Temple, which is different to the Fire Sanctuary, which was the Fire Temple of that game. So, Dinraal was most likely the Sage of Earth. But the temple itself doubled as an area for those prominent with Fire Magic as well.

Dinraal: "The Sage of Earth" and "Fire Dragon"

Farosh: "The Sage of Spirit" and "Lightning Dragon"

Naydra: "The Sage of Water" and "Ice Dragon"

Also, their names before draconifying were probably Din, Farore, and Nayru, probably a reincarnation of the 3 girls that have no relation to the Golden Goddesses that have appeared in a few games much like how Tingle, Beetle, Impa, and others reincarnate. And if you say that them being Zonai instead of Hylian is a problem, take it up with the Ancient Hero of Calamity, a reincarnation of Link who is a completely different race than Hylian.
