Somehow my 5th floor veranda garden has sprouted its own snails.
No complaints, they're welcome to stay in the dirt!

Battle Garegga Planes
I found a lovely snail at work who was dried out so I let him have a shower and he seemed to enjoy it!! 🐌🚿
One of my favourite things to do is to photograph snails after the rain. I find them so fascinating!
A wiggly snail friend visited the shed last night
A Snail’s Worship
I sit on my altar of worship, waiting,
under a murky sky.
I watch as the silhouettes of birds
race each other to shelter against the backdrop
of a once blue horizon, now shrouded
in a thick sheet of grey.
But I remain. Here.
Waiting.
The forest is silent, waiting with bated breath,
and listening to the distant
whistle of wind.
A drop.
It falls just before me, and
shatters like fragile glass against
the edge of a rock.
Then another,
then another, close behind.
It's pouring down, now,
showering the earth, turning the soil
black.
I'm reaching out to catch the droplets,
gifts from the heavens. They
nourish my body, rejuvenate
my soul.
Somewhere, the moss echoes thanks, and
the plants sing praise.
And I, here, wait no longer.
Here at my altar of worship,
praying
everybody shut up and look at this snail I saw today
Here's the snail, he never fails, he makes me wanna wag my tail; when he comes I wanna wail: SNNNNAAAAAAIIIIILLLL
