Gen II shiny Charmander! When Gold & Silver were first announced for the virtual console, I was extremely excited both to play the games, and for all the shiny Pokemon to hunt! For better or worse, there are several shinies that have seriously changed over the years (mostly during the transition from the GSC era to RSE) and I’ve been hunting every day in the games both via Random Encounters and eggs since the day they came out. I actually got a good chuckle out of finding Pokérus before I found a shiny. I decided to start hunting Charmander as soon as I got to the point in my Gold Version to use the Time Capsule. Gen II shiny Charizard is something I’ve wanted since I was a kid, and I’m so excited to finally have one!

A baby Pallas cat was born in the Helsinki Zoo, look at this tiny baby who bleps!

The Korkeasaari Zoo celebrated the birth of its first pallas cat and they gave the news on 10 august 2023 but the kitten in the photo is already 2 months old and she is healthy.

While the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) categorizes the Pallas cat as a species of "least concern," their numbers in the wild have been declining. These cats inhabit the vast and harsh grasslands and mountain steppes of Central Asia. Manuls are part of European zoos' conservation programs aimed at safeguarding their future. Korkeasaari Zoo contributes to the protection of wild manuls during this year's "Night of the Cats."
