As someone at the northwest edge of the incredibly fucked county of Clackamas, I’d like to wake up now.

I’m still in stage 1, just get prepped but... it is terrifying to contemplate that it could burn through so many cities and then it’s just a short hop to Portland if it reaches me.

Call your senators if you're in the US and tell them to approve federal aid for Montana.

Having to explain to a group of pre-schoolers that we couldn’t play outside today because the air isn’t safe enough for them to breathe was a dystopian experience to say the least.

The smoke is pretty bad in my area right now, and we’ve had some rough smoke in the summers for the past couple of years. It feels so strange to me that kids growing up where I’m living now will think of fires and smoke and having to stay indoors as a regular summer event.
