Also can I just say that I think it is SO FUNNY that whenever a new wilds era game is announced, the fan theories and fanart end up being 10x more interesting than the actual game?

Like, I don't even like the idea of good Ganondorf that much because most of the time it's EXTREMELY poorly executed and he gets dumbed down and mischaracterized to astronomical proportions, but even then like. Just the concept Ganondorf waking up after a 10,000 or so year slumber without any memories of his past life as an ambitious and greedy warlord and Link and Zelda having to put the pieces together is WAAAAAAYYY more interesting than the entirety of TOTK.

This even extends to AOI. Same 4 champion reskins with the same personality same weapons and same powers. "I hope Sonia is playable" "I hope Ganondorf is playable" "I hope we see Rauru and Sonia's kids" I think we're forgetting that this is NINTENDO we're talking about. The company that puts gameplay before story even if it directly contributes to the game sucking. They can't write a story worth shit. If they could then AOI wouldn't even exist, let's be honest.

All this to say that the wilds era is the "meet potential man" meme of Zelda eras

I had a dream that they released a surprise trailer for a new Zelda game in the Wilds era, and LINK COULD TALK! I was freaking out, and even showed my family (who had no idea what I was talking about).
