The Lumberjack Option Part Whatever
@shanklin
Manly Dan and Mayor Cutebiker appear at the door of the Mystery Shack with a bunch of paperwork and some friendly (and once it becomes clear Mabel and Dipper know nothing about Stan's life at present, unfriendly) questions!
Dipper is adjusting his second favorite microscope when the knocking at the front door grows too loud to ignore.
When he answers, annoyed at being pulled away from his research into the composition of fairy dust, its to find Manly Dan and the mayor on his stoop with a large packet of paperwork.
"Hiya Doctor Pines! Sorry to bother you, but there's a tiny issue we need you to sign off on! Can we come in for a sec?"
The mayor smiles at Dipper as he lets them into the kitchen, Manly Dan dwarfing the table as he sits.
"So, I just want to assure you, Dan had no clue you hadn't filed the Oregon authorization papers, and the second he noticed, he called me, so no one should be in trouble."
"What?" Dipper frowns.
The mayor laughs awkwardly, patting Dan's shoulder. His expression hasn't changed this whole time from a frown.
"Well, you know how Stan's been spending the summer out in the woods with Dan's lumberjack crew? Wendy mentioned it to Dan and he came and got me, and-"
Dipper laughed, "Oh yeah, Stan's been a bit of a handful this summer-never around, none of his chores getting done. We didn't know he was bothering the lumberjacks though! If he's caused any problems, we'll be happy to give him a good talking-to when he gets home from school. Ford started up with his college level courses last week and he's already top of the class, did you hear? We're very proud."
Dan and the mayor turn to look at each other briefly before turning back to Dipper with much more concerned expressions.
"Doctor Pines, are you saying you have no idea what Stan's been doing this summer?"
"Well, his father died in May, so we were giving him some space to breathe. Mabel and I are always available for him to talk to, but he's just not ready yet, I suppose."
Another significant look. Dipper is getting tired of significant looks that aren't directed at him.
"Look, just tell me what Stan did, and Mabel and I will deal with it. We'll find him an after school job, something to teach responsibility. Axolotl knows he needs some."
Things went downhill from there.
Merman Kusuo and Pirate Aren falling in love after having a bloody fight. They get trapped in an island, and Kusuo was hurt by a sharp wood from Aren’s ship so his only solution is to shapeshift into a human. Aren, thinking he killed the sea creature, limps on the island and finds for food and supplies to soon fix his ship and escape. He encounters an equally injured "human" and realizes that that human was bleeding a lot, and somehow.. naked?
Despite his own injuries, he offers help. But Kusuo acts hostile and threatens, yet Aren knows he is defenseless and merely offers his coat to cover himself up from the cold.
To speedrun this, they both spend time together on the island with their series of secrets kept from each other. They slowly grow fond of each other but Aren is still unaware. Kusuo admits his hostility between the man he had fought with had simmered down, even to the point of trusting Aren with helping his injuries.
Every time Aren goes to sleep, Kusuo slowly heals Aren’s wounds but it's slow and weak because Kusuo barely goes into the water since Aren always tries to come and find him after having bonded with him for a smaller amount than few days.
Aren notices that one thing Kusuo does is ask questions about "human affairs." He seems to think Kusuo has only grown on islands and rarely associates with people, seeing how as he was butt-nude and carrying nothing but injur- hey, now that he thought about it. Why was Kusuo so injured back then?
Aren becomes more suspicious of Kusuo despite his seemingly weak persona.
Kusuo tries his all to learn about humans from Aren because as a merman, and as a powerful one at that. He has never set afoot shore with humans, much less be allowed to interact with them with his family's fear of him being discovered and brutally killed. Kusuo has heard Kusuke talk about humans selling fish for money and food. How Kusuke knows so, is beyond him. But somehow, Aren seems different than those horrible stories Kusuke talks of.
Though, Aren was a pirate, a dangerous like of the ocean and hated by most sea life. The man himself was actually enthralling.
Time progresses, and Aren finally builds his ship with unknown supplies found on the island (provided kindly by Kusuo), and he thinks about bringing Kusuo along with him.
What do you think happens next?
Thinking about omega Rei having his instincts "killed" during his training so when Miri comes into their life, he finds himself responding in ways he doesn't understand. It makes him doubly awkward and why he avoids Miri in the beginning.
Kazuki thought it was just Rei being his usual Rei-self. Until he notices a scent on Rei. He thought he imagined it at first. It's barely there, a blink and you'll miss kind of thing. But it slowly seeps into their space, their home, that you wouldn't have realized it hadn't been their in the first place.
It takes him quite awhile to realize that Rei was actually an omega.
Kazuki interpreted Rei's softening towards Miri as just their daughter finally wrecking the wall Rei's built up and nestling herself in that space close to Rei's heart. Loving Miri wasn't hard. No amount of resistance could last against those big round eyes of hers. The sound of her laughter warms their heart. Her hugs revitalizing their weary souls Kazuki never even thought possible.
Honestly, Kazuki had just failed to notice he'd lost the fight before it even began. And he's pretty sure Rei went through the same thing, though he wouldn't admit to it at all.
i've always had an inkling that something wasn't right with how i loved.
back when i was 11 playing minecraft and the shit, my friend started flirting with me hard (didn't realize it) and eventually asked me out in french. I realized it wasn't going to work because I didn't have those feelings for her, so I let her down easy.
this happened a couple of times and all the same i let them down easy because I never had feelings for any of these people.
The first relationship I got myself into was one that everyone thought we were already dating, so the girl cornered me and asked if we were dating. I told her I needed a bit to think it over, so i would get back to her. I wasn't quite sure, so I spent the night thinking and came to the conclusion that if all my friends thought i was dating, I must love her. This was 10th grade.
We broke up two years later because she went away for college. I wasn't heart broken at all. Sad to lose a friend, but that was that. In our relationship, I never did anything romantic, I just did what I thought relationships were from all the fanfic I read (i can bake a mean brownie, and enjoyed cooking for her).
My second girlfriend I thought I loved romantically. Turns out I rushed into things. I liked her aesthetics. Or maybe I just really love a friend before it normalizes. Kinda like a honeymoon period. Idk. That relationshop lasted a year with me feeling so stupid for getting myself into that relationship and trying to make myseld love her. It didn't work, and that was the worst breakup ever. I think we broke up 6 or 7 times in a month. I was heartbroken. Not because I loved her, but because I felt like I let her down.
Finally, my last relationship, I promised I wouldn't get myself into one, but I think I was trying to fill in a void. I was a year after graduating HS, most of my friends didn't talk to me. But at my work this one girl talked to me. Found out we liked writing. Shared our poems with each other. I wanted to show her my genealogy research, invited her home. We ended up kissing. In a panic I wanted to take it back so I blurted out I was asexual and she giggled and said that she could fix that.
And for a while I thought I was stupid for thinking I was. But again, after "the honeymoon period," I was treating her like a friend. A close friend. Making food, etc. Even kissing. I never let it get close to sex as I would panic (sexual trauma from when I was a kid). And I'm very thankful it never progressed.
After a year and a half she found someone else, ghosted me for three months. then came back into my life for a day to break up with me. And I was relieved.
I'll continue this later, need to get back to work. Gonna include my revelations and what I learned about romantic, sexual attractions and hopefully help some of y'all with your questioning.
opened the game for a bit and ended up with him!! u beautiful man u!!! will delete later because it's a low-q snip...and then my pc crashed seconds after (prays that the gallery save pulled through)
I have been seeing a lot of "the watchers weren't evil" stuff going around so I wanted to make a post Archiveing the facts I know to help people decide on thir own. I have only watched grian's pov and everything else comes from the recap series and second hand sources
Let's start:
appeared one day and gave the evolutionists the first update portal, hid clues for evolutionists to find more portals, the old updates became the downside up(?), gave the evolutionists tests to mainly judge their greed, punished them if they failed and rewarded them if they passed,
presented themselves as tall, long haired, feminine(?) beings with staffs and wings via staues which grian compaird to "allegedly" being angels, grian failed most teats while zee passed most,
they left rewards at a tower that they said represented the evolutionists in the watchers standing, this caused taurtis to jokingly compair them to Santa, grian got a bunch of coal and a diamond which he took as meaning they thought he was "a diamond in the rough", Jimmy got saplings some other things and two old ingots which was one of the worst rewards specially considering that Jimmy had done everything so far with Martyn who's reward was pretty good.
Here are some other acts of the watchers:
Martyn once tried to force his way into Mayership causing the watchers to launch a meteor into the Mayers building, the property police once asked for zombie spawn eggs to prank mini, the watchers obliged but warned them not to use them, they did causing the watchers to punish them.
Too much submas on my brain… I shall not suffer alone!!!
Emmet totally have ’fun-dad’ energy… he will give joltiks to small children just to see their faces light up! He’s not gonna tell them not to squeeze them too hard, the kids will learn once they’ve gotten the crap chocked out of them a couple of times! He’ll totally give children free access to a giant bowl of candy! So what if they get hyper? Everyone is having fun! And if they eat so much candy they get sick, well, useful learning experience! They’ll learn to regulate their candy intake eventually… right?
Ingo on the other hand have ‘favorite uncle’ energy. He’ll also hand out candy to people, but wouldn’t let a child have unlimited access to candy or bother Pokémon to learn the hard way why some things are bad to do.
He will tell people no far more often than Emmet, but he’ll also explain why, which most children will like him for. He’ll let kids meet his Pokémon but explain how to greet them, what parts are safe to touch and what parts are not. How to tell if you’re making the Pokémon upset or annoyed. Safety first!
He’ll also comfort small children who get separated from their parents by letting them wear his hat and let them ride on his shoulder and wear a pin that says ‘junior conductor of the day’ and let them have a lollipop and a small train whistle.
And while Ingo and Emmet will usually be equipped with a couple of whistles and a handful of the soft-candies because it’s Gear Station merch and it’s free and meant to get handed out to passengers to enhance their trip and make the marketing team happy. However, since the twins kinda went overboard first day and handed them out to every child, teen and curious adult they saw, resulting in such an unholy noise that GS public opinion both tanked and skyrocketed simultaneously and Ingo and Emmet getting called into their office and got remed out by their boss and not being allowed to leave until it was overwhelmingly clear to all parties that something like that were never to happen again.
Emmet closely after stopped carrying around the whistles because he has a lot of difficulty not handing them out to people, Ingo has an easier time controlling himself and carry them to give to lost children to make them feel better. He’s also paying for the pin and lollipop out of pocket, but most people are unaware of that (he does get his hat back tho).
