#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #jiang yanli #When I first started this comic project I had many comics I was looking forward to drawing. And one scene I dreaded.#Because this feeling - this moment where it's not just about the news arriving but the *evidence*...How do you even begin?#I thought about what comic I would do. How I wanted to unpack the disorientation the grief strikes with.#I spilled water on that comic on accident and took it as a sign that I was overthinking it.#Maybe this version is too simple but I think it still captures what I wanted to say.#Because in the end...it really does feel like this. Like your world hollows out entirely and you're filled with static.#Everything feels so trivial. Invisible strings make you move and make you say words you barely recognize as your own voice.#The burger is dry. I lost someone. I think I need more ketchup. We were supposed to have more time. Why didn't we have more time?#This was supposed to be her happy ending! After everything and everyone she lost - she was supposed to have this new family!#She's alone! Madame Jin lost her son and is too deep in her own grief! Her brothers are too far away!#The drive to do something - anything to feel a sense of control is a part of the process we don't talk about enough.#It's about getting shot in the stomach and reaching for the band-aids because we don't know what else to do.#So nobody question why she ran out to that battlefield. She needed to do something. Lest the grief consume her.#I promise to make the next few comics funnier to restore some balance again.#Final note here. You. The one reading this and reflecting on your own grief. It's okay to need more time.#One day you will forgive yourself a little more. The pain does soften eventually. It just takes time.#I'm here with you. It's not the most comforting sentiment but please know you aren't alone.

it started out as a quick sketch of Adrien and sort of evolved from there when I wanted to draw Chat too. I wanted to make him sort of androgynous too because yes. Hopefully I did him justice

#yes its still about the thing with my friend :(#looked up skywriting options in their state. why in these kind of situations does that seem like a good idea #anyway no price information immediately available + no guarantee theyd see it so back to the drawing board #i last messaged them saturday and they've ignored me since then. if thats still the case come this saturday then ill send something else #i have a new message drafted that i hope lays out everything #consulting my longtime friend about this and he at least thinks im not entirely at fault/an irredeemable weirdo #which is how ive been feeling. but oh well. its just disappointing this happened with this person #we seemed so close we were having a fantastic time messaging each other and ig all bc i couldnt completely be that same way irl we're here #which sucks. a lot. but if this is the way things end up i guess ill get over it eventually.#sorry for making you tune in to the wallowing show. its all thats on rn #and again its not that we didnt have fun on the trip bc we did. just not all the time and less so towards the end #but i think various external factors are to blame + needing to know someone for longer before being completely comfortable with them #especially for a first meeting! and maybe a long involved vacation was too much too soon. especially with the trip issues we faced #ugh anyway. i gotta stop wallowing #i have fun things on the horizon to look forward to so thats something. its all we have

Error!Sans was my first introduction to AU's. I think I've read other stories such as handplate, but Error? He is the only one that actually stuck.
