And one scene I dreaded.#Because this feeling - this moment where it's not just about the news arriving but the *evidence*...How do you even begin?#I thought about what comic I would do. How I wanted to unpack the disorientation the grief strikes with.#I spilled water on that comic on accident and took it as a sign that I was overthinking it.#Maybe this version is too simple but I think it still captures what I wanted to say.#Because in the end...it really does feel like this. Like your world hollows out entirely and you're filled with static.#Everything feels so trivial. Invisible strings make you move and make you say words you barely recognize as your own voice.#The burger is dry. I lost someone. I think I need more ketchup. We were supposed to have more time. Why didn't we have more time?#This was supposed to be her happy ending! After everything and everyone she lost - she was supposed to have this new family!#She's alone! Madame Jin lost her son and is too deep in her own grief! Her brothers are too far away!#The drive to do something - anything to feel a sense of control is a part of the process we don't talk about enough.#It's about getting shot in the stomach and reaching for the band-aids because we don't know what else to do.#So nobody question why she ran out to that battlefield. She needed to do something. Lest the grief consume her.#I promise to make the next few comics funnier to restore some balance again.#Final note here. You. The one reading this and reflecting on your own grief. It's okay to need more time.#One day you will forgive yourself a little more. The pain does soften eventually. It just takes time.#I'm here with you. It's not the most comforting sentiment but please know you aren't alone.

Error!Sans was my first introduction to AU's. I think I've read other stories such as handplate, but Error? He is the only one that actually stuck.
