“Father…” Adrien said. The distance between them was eons wide, insurmountable. All of Adrien’s drive and confidence, his fighting spirit, evaporated in an instant. His hands shook. His mouth went dry. Silence crawled down his throat.

Adrien swallowed thickly. Somehow, he spoke.

“Can I go to school this year?”

Spectral light fades and the show's over, curtains drawn. Dusk sneaks in through the broken windows, filtering the wreckage in hazy, antiquated light. A marker of time passing on this endless day. Somewhere, there is a sun burning through the hours, skating across the sky. It seems as much a myth as ghosts and hauntings and houses that swallow you whole, but Adrien's judgment of reality is always worse in here. Ceilings so high they seem endless. Rooms so cold they freeze time. When he turns away from his mother's portrait, the atelier is deafeningly empty. It's hollowed out, more than usual.

The room is a shattered ribcage. Desks are splintered to bits. Couches gutted, stuffing spilling out. Mannequins lie contorted, faceless casualties of the battle Adrien never fought. The only wars he ever saw in this room were waged with icy stares and pursed lips. Volleys for connection shattered against an impenetrable wall of apathy. There is something—a dog or a child or a ghost, something—living just within Adrien's skin. There is some undergrown thing in him that shrinks and whines in this room.

It's the same part of him that wants. The part that doesn't let go. The part that playacts a goodbye hug with a memory. Get up, he wants to scold himself. This is it. There is no one coming to save you.

The room is a mess. The room belongs to Adrien. Or Adrien belongs to the room. Either way, it's his to deal with. There is no one coming.

Adrien gets to work.

I just thought of something and I feel kind of stupid for not thinking of it before.

So we know Lila has been writing fake letters to various holders, correct? And she knows pretty much EVERYTHING apart from maybe Chat Noir’s identity.

Back when El Toro de Piedra first aired and the letter from Gabriel was revealed, I found it really odd because he was so determined to keep the truth from Adrien before.

“make sure that Adrien never knows about the villain that I was”

It didn’t make sense for him to just randomly switch up, unless maybe he was duping Marinette for some reason.

…but what if he didn’t actually write it? What if it was actually Lila who wrote it?

Lila may not have heard what Gabriel said back then. She may not know about the last request he made of Marinette.

Lila would do ANYTHING to break Marinette and Adrien apart. And what better way to do that than by revealing the truth to Adrien and making him hate Ladybug? And it coming directly from his “father” would ensure its validity.

Idk. I may be way off but I do think it’s a possibility.

If anyone ever asks me what it is about miraculous that I enjoy, I don’t think I will have a suitable response.

Like idk man. The only reason I’m here is because I saw those out of context clips that made the show seem so ridiculous that I needed the full context in order to move on with my life. The enjoyment kind of just slowly built from there.

Clair de Lune

Two years have passed since they first met. Nathalie, living two lives at once, enjoys her spare time and uses it to help the family she unconsciously helped bring together.

And even though they only see each other during major events, where she remains silent and in the background, her mind wanders to the possibilities.

An escape from working under her father. A place where she is welcome.

Life seems to be smiling on her, and as long as that’s the case, her heart is devoted to this family.

It’s not as if anything could go wrong now, right?

Well well well, hello!!! What do you think? This story was written long ago but modified like, idk, beyond three times? I added and removed various scenes: the first version was going to be in the Agreste household, the second at a vacation trip, the third... I think similar to the second, on the beach, and it was way spicier😳

I removed the angst ending, mostly because if I did, I'd never finish the comic in the next 3 months or so...

I plan to draw some bonus pages, not colored, or with that much detail, showing some scenes of what happens after.
