Design Process: Willow
Willow is a friend of Luz. She is known for her strong plant magic, having a falling out with Amity, being into sports, and is often associated with the colours green and yellow.
I wanted to try putting Willow in a dress, as we don't typically see her in a dress (we only really see her wear one in the Grom episode mentioned in Luz' post). I also believed that she would look really cute in a dress.
Some of the concepts were more simple, some more fancy. I also made one with pants/shorts incase Tali prefered Willow to wear pants.
Talisman said she prefers the third design, hence off I went to finalise it!
As mentioned in the Gus design post, I sent both at the same time. Tali said she loves both.
The original design had quiet dull yellows, and two shades of green for the clothes that looked queit similar. In the original I also used a dark green for the hair and shoes to stand-in for her black hair.
The adjusted for Willow are more extreme than Gus'. As I used a purple to stand-in for black here, and made the shoes greem. including of course that the two greens are lighter,more saturated and more clearly different shades of green
Despite the colour changes being a little drastic, Tali still really liked how Willow turned out, it made me happy, as I was worried that the purple hair would be disliked.
