pet peeves.
ren has a few, especially considering they can be an extremely petty person when continuously annoyed. but the one pet peeve that does come to mind immediately is being interrupted. ren rarely speaks, which is both a conditioning of how they were raised and how their semblance has morphed their personality. they definitely tend to be someone who observes before acting, so when they do decide to act and speak out and are interrupted they will seethe, and further on in their characterisation they will stop and address whoever started talking over them. ren being ignored, for the most part, doesn’t irritate them, but being cut off or talked over, interjected into can make them go from mild irritation to snapping if done repeatedly.

ren’s main habit when they become angry is to deflect. oftentimes they might even leave the conversation entirely. what a lot of people don’t know about ren is that their semblance has severely stunted ren’s emotional development, and because of this, when lacking in aura, they tend to respond to intense emotion almost childishly. when not without their semblance, ren’s emotional intelligence is around that of a fifteen year old boy, and so walking away from the situation has become their go to on how to handle an emotion like anger. before that however, they do tend to get very snippy. ren is a saboteur by nature, and tend to strike where it hurts the most when feeling threatened themselves.
