It’s not perfect, and it’s very much a “I only watched like 3 Reels of people decorating cakes and then decided it was something I had to learn to do right this instant” type project, but at least now I have all the supplies I need to do it again if I want to.😅 I used a box mix for the cake but altered the ingredient ratios, (because let’s face it I’m just here for the piping part) then altered a chocolate mousse recipe as frosting (because I don’t vibe with buttercream) and did a cream cheese frosting for the little flowers. This is the first cake I’ve made as an adult and feel like I’ve “absorbed” a lot more knowledge since little me got ahold of a tub of frosting and a butter knife. 😅 I’m just thrilled that it’s level and my mousse had enough structure to hold the weight! I’m less than satisfied with my flowers but I’m trying to have grace for myself because it is a first attempt. 🤷🏻♀️ I have a renewed respect for cake decorators steady hands and DANG y’all must have mad grip strength.
