Just cause I just saw your post about French: How many languages do you speak?

Okkkk so.... I speak three languages fluently: German, English, and Japanese. Technically, I speak German and a dialect of German, so it’s maybe more like one and a half languages? Not sure how to count that.

(The dialect I speak has a different grammar and vocabulary from Standard German, it’s not just a matter of pronounciation etc. Random fun fact: we don’t have a preterite grammatical tense, only perfect tense. So it’s never ‘I went to bed at nine’ it’s (approximately) ‘I am gone to bed at nine.’ Oh god, it sounds so weird in English. And the proper word order would be ‘I am at nine to bed gone.’ Yikes. German, man.)

I speak French on like a B2 level or something, my listening and reading skills are pretty good, my speaking kinda sucks because I never do it unless forced to.

And lastly, I also have basic knowledge in Italian, Swedish and Chinese, though I’m nowhere near conversant in any of these languages. :(

So in total, I speak 4.5 languages, plus another 3 very, very badly.

Oh wait, I also have reasonably good knowledge of pre-modern Japanese (mostly Heian and later Edo though, I have a HUGE hole in the middle ages), so make that 5 languages, hahahaha.

He scrabbled together what strength he still had left and lashed out, burning Lucifer.

There was a sharp yelp and then Lucifer’s presence was gone. He reappeared a split-second later at the edge of the lake, hissing and shaking his hands. What skin was visible was a blistering red.

Favorite Story You Wrote: You would make me choose between my children?  I don’t know, man. So many stories of mine have served so many different purposes for me. I could maybe do a top ten list, but narrowing it down further is infeasible.

Story You Were Nervous to Post: Uh, probably the first fic I wrote for NDU, because it was such a fledgling fandom and writing some of the first stuff for it was intimidating.

How Do You Choose Your Titles: Generally I pick a single noun that can be somehow related to the story at hand.

Do You Outline: Haha, my approach to writing mainly consists of being struck by a really cool scene that I want to write, and then desperately trying to build a scaffold around that scene to support it. So, kind of? Generally my word documents look like:

Characters talking, argument? Need to go to location.

[Incredibly detailed thing that I needed to write immediately and has been dangling unsupported for days/weeks/months] 

Character Y shows up or was there all along?

Complete: Uh... Lots, if I count the random snippets scattered over my blog, probably around 100, judging from how many pages are in my fic tag. I have... 4 completed works on AO3 (and one of those doesn’t count because I intend to add something to it eventually).

In-Progress: Lots, though a lot are sadly abandoned at this point. Patchwork is the only one that I’m actively writing at the moment, though there’s a few more that I intend to return to eventually.

Coming Soon: Patchwork. It is a brain parasite and it refuses to leave my head.

Do You Accept Prompts: Certainly!

Upcoming Story You Are Most Excited to Write: Patchwork has still refused to vacate my head, so that’s the thing I’m primarily going to be writing for the foreseeable future.

okay so actually this is something ive been working on for about a week, its for @wilwarindi and its from her fic Caught On Fire! I love drawing people hugging, and I also love Roland and Brick’s height difference, so this was pretty win win for me
