This was just supposed to be yet another recon mission! Syntax wasn't supposed to have followed her again! This was just her luck.
Kit didn't leave herself much time to lament her situation as she was currently fighting off a large metal alien robot. A member of Syntax she recognized from a previous mission. And this guy was relentless.
Firing another round from her arm cannon, the feline skillfully dodged a blow. She didn't know how much longer she could keep this up. She had to find this world's hero first and make sure they didn't defeat their villain.
Cherry only hums in response. Nose nestling itself deeper into the crook of his neck, face burying itself in blue fur. He's warm and so very close to him. Cherry can't get enough of it.
There is the craving for more. More contact, more of him. They were already this close as it was, and yet, it wasn't enough. The vessel's arms tighten around the other hedgehog's shoulders. Like if he did not, he would simply disappear. And he couldn't have that. "Soniiiccc-", he groaned with a roll of his hips.
Each languid drag across his insides would be enough to drive him mad. Or perhaps, just tangling himself up with Sonic was enough to do that. And with nowhere else to turn his energy to, his attention is once again turned towards Sonic's neck. Tongue darting out to lavish it in slow, agonizing strokes before his lips take their place, eagerly suckling at the skin underneath.
Where the blue hedgehog's pace is slower, Cherry returns it in kind, just a touch faster. The sensation alone bringing a pleasant buzz that thrums underneath his skin. He pulls his mouth away with a satisfying pop! before letting out a breathy little laugh.
"Fuck... so are you.", he mumbles in between breaths hitching. "Gimme a kiss? Please?"

Cherry's breath hitched in his throat. Each kiss planted against a peach colored stomach, so soft and tender, brings forth a shudder that wracks his body. He watches as Sonic continues to leave behind kiss after kiss down his stomach, inching lower and lower to the treasure tucked between pink furred thighs before -
He stops. Cherry swears he can feel the hedgehog smile against his skin before he settles at the highest part of his stomach to start all over again.
The anticipation is enough to kill him. The vessel's heartbeat pounding away like a drum within his chest, now left to climb back down from the metaphorical cliff it had been left on. He could have screamed were in he in a less patient mood.
Instead, his hand moves to lay itself upon blue quills, trailing across the top of Sonic's head. He finds his ear and traces against it. To the top, back down to his head again. A perfect, albeit incomplete triangle.
"You really think so?", the vessel asks, unable to stop the bashful little smile that worms its way onto his face. "Well, uh, I think you look pretty too. And um, stuff. Yeah." Oh, how he could have kicked himself for that. Too caught up in everything and far too flustered to know when to stop talking.
He can't exactly be blamed for it. After all, it's hard to think when Sonic takes his time and spends every minute relishing in it. His energy, was admittedly, somewhat infectious. Just a touch.
"Could you..." A pause to wet his suddenly dry throat. "Could you go lower? Please?"
A view like this? A place like this? It used to only be available to him behind the confines of a CRT screen, exploration limited to a game controller. But now? It was real and it was gorgeous in person.
A tentative step is taken. One after the other, as if he's almost afraid to really step forward and relish the feeling of the sun on his skin after so long.
"Thanks. It means a lot. It really does." He does mean that, straight from the bottom of his heart.
He could walk forward. He should and yet, he stands there, rooted to the spot. Where joy once was finds itself whittled away and worry takes its place. It is perfect. Almost too perfect.
"We're okay, right? There's... nothing else out here, is there?" The vessels forces down a swallow. "Wait. That's dumb. I just- I'm sorry. I haven't, uh, adjusted to this yet."
"No! No. I'm fine..." Skye assured him, yet she couldn't keep her eyes off the small gash left in the hedgehog's arm. "Thanks to you."
For some reason, she felt partially responsible. She was the reason he got hurt. She was the one who recklessly got caught up in the fray. If she had just kept out of the way, this wouldn't have happened. Her sympathetic nature compelled her to at least try and make it right.
"I just wish I had something to help..." The vixen thought for a brief moment, looking down at her sleeve. Dark red. The blood would blend right in- no! Don't use your clothes to clean someone's injury, Skye!
"We're not that far from where I live. Maybe I could-" She stopped herself again. He probably wasn't too keen on following her home, even if it was to clean a cut. "Are you sure you'll be okay?"
She shook her head, totally thrown by the blue hedgehog’s casual challenge. Of all the trash she expected to hear come out of his mouth, offering her a race wasn’t anywhere close.
“Ha! Are you kiddin’ me, old man?” Surge fired back, narrowing her sharp eyes into tight slits while she jammed her fists hard on her hips. Her torn black jacket shifted with the motion, the exposed circuits along her arms flickering with restless voltage. “You barely scraped a win against me last time we threw down, and now you’re seriously talkin’ speed? No way in hell you’re faster than me!”
She thumped a clenched fist against her own chest, the impact sending a bright shower of electric arcs snapping outward. “Nothin’ beats lightning, ya hear? I’m the fastest thing on this whole stupid planet!”
Surge leaned forward aggressively, wild grin splitting across her face as more sparks jumped between her quills and the ground. Her red eyes burned with pure cocky fire, tail lashing once behind her. The air around her hummed louder, charged and dangerous, like a storm about to cut loose.
“But hey if you’re that desperate to get embarrassed, I’m all in,” she added with a sharp, barking laugh.
"You're allowed to get injured, but you're not allowed to hide it from me."
From @windsofcobalt to Starlight :3
"Ahah...I guess I'm supposed to...go to you for permission now?" Starlight joked, a weak laugh was attempted but replaced with a painful cry instead as she stumbled over. It was hard enough to get up on her feet to walk away if she wanted to. It was no use getting to hide an injury at all from Sonic no matter how she'd try and leave away from him before he could see. She sighed and carefully tugged her jacket sleeve down from her left arm, wincing at both the sight of the fresh burn and pain.
"I guess I was...practicing that trick you taught me last time too much and got a bit too confident. With enough light energy, it could potentially backfire and burn me and well...it happened." Starlight was a little hesitant to show the burn on her legs too considering the few patches and holes of areas on the front of her jeans. "It's...kind of like how you touch a very hot lightbulb. Except way...waaaay worse."
