It has been a while since my last Bordeaux wine, nevertheless a white. Entre-Deux-Mers is a sub-region where we can find good value white, red and sweet Bordeaux wines. This wine is a blend of Sauvignon blanc, Semillon with a touch of Muscadelle. I have already presented a beautiful full-bodied wine from Vigneron Chaigne et Fils @rchbx so I was excited to taste something else from their portfolio! A medium deep golden color with silver hue and a medium plus viscosity appear in the glass. The nose has freshly cut grass, green bell pepper, lemonpeel, elderflower, acacia, apricot and grapefruit. Dry wine with high acidity, medium alcohol and medium body. Flavours of lemon, grapefruit, green bell pepper and elderflower leads us to a medium plus lenght. A very good quality wine which best to drink in the next 3-5 years when it is chilled to 8-10°C. Have it next to a charcuterie board, seafood platter, sushi or creamy cheeses. Probably this holiday I will drink a lot of wine from @thummererpince because my 🍷 today is from this winery as well! This time I have tasted the Egri Bikavér Grand Superior from 2015 which is a big blend of Cabernet Franc🍇, Kadarka, Kékfrankos (aka Blaufrankisch), Merlot🍇 and Syrah🍇 from a single vineyard called Nagy-Eged. _____ If you don't know what Egri Bikavér🍷 means or never heard about the Kadarka🍇 variety, don't worry because in 2 days I will explain everything just stay tuned‼ Let's see the tasting notes of this beautiful big blend✍! _____ This 🍷 has a youthful, medium plus deep ruby colour with silver hue and a medium plus viscosity. The 👃 is full of complex and instense aromas of ripe blueberry, dark cherry🍒, plums, cinnamon, pepper, violet, roses🌹, earthy character with tobacco and coffee☕. _____ A dry wine with high acidity, smooth and very ripe but present tannins, well-integrated medium plus alcohol. A full-bodied red wine with flavours of blackberry, dark cherries🍒, plum, coffee☕, cinnamon and dark chocolate🍫 with a very long finish. _____ I consider this as a very good quality👌 wine which drinks beautifully now and the next 10-15 years on 15-18°C. Costieres de Nimes located on the Southern Rhone, half way between the city of Nimes and the the Mediterranean Sea. _______ Chateau Beaubois @chateaubeaubois has a wide range of wines🍷 in their portfolio and Denim is the project to relocate the weaving process of denim fabric in the eponymous town of Nimes. As per usual, more about the winery in the 🔝stories and highlights🔝, now let's see those tasting notes✍! _______ Denim consists 50% Syrah🍇, 30% Cinsault🍇, 20% Grenache🍇 and has a deep, vivant ruby color with medium plus viscosity. _______ On the 👃 we can smell very ripe dark fuits of cassis, cherries🍒, blackberries with black olives, provence spices, dark chocolate🍫 and vanilla. _______ The 🍷 is dry with high acidity, ripe, smooth, medium plus tannin structure, medium plus alcohol. It is a medium plus bodied wine with flavours of cassis, cherries🍒, olives, dark chocolate🍫 with a medium plus lenght. _______ Denim is a good quality 🍷 (18€) which drinks best now and the next 3-5 years at 13-15°C. We are staying in Fronsac🇫🇷 for another day and even in the same Chateau because today our 🍷 is another cuvée by the Chateau L'Escarderie @escarderie . This called the Passion with 60% Merlot🍇 and 40% Cabernet Franc🍇 in the blend with an average of 20 years old vines. Check out my stories🔝 and highlights🔝 to know more about the winery, now it is time for the tasting notes✍! ______ The 🍷 has a lighter ruby red coulour with silver hue and a medium viscosity💧. I can 👃 ripe forest fruits with plums🍑, cherries🍒 and red berries🍓 with a bouquet of red flowers🌺 and oak, vanilla, cinnamon with a hint of pepper🌶. ______ On the 👅 the wine is dry with medium plus acidity, drier but ripe medium plus tannin structure and medium alcohol (13%) means a medium plus bodied 🍷 with flavours of red berries🍓, cherries🍒, plums🍑, dark chocolate🍫 and vanilla in the finish with a medium plus lenght. ______ A good quality 🍷 which I enjoy to drink now or you can cellar it📈 for the next 5-8 years. Let's jump in our virtual car🚗 and drive much further south to the other side of the river and even further to the right bank of Dordogne river just near Libourne, in the AOP Fronsac🇫🇷. This is where we will find Chateau L'Escarderie @escarderie and their wines mainly with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec🍇. ______ Today we are going to taste something special, the cuvée Amphora which, as the name suggest, has been aged with the acient method in terracotta amphorae🏺 for 14 months. This particular wine🍷 made in the 2017 vintage and consist of 95% Merlot🍇 and 5% Cabernet Franc🍇. I talk more about the winery in my stories🔝 and highlights🔝 under the #collectif21 , now let's jump on to the tasting notes✍! ______ The 🍷 has a deep ruby red colour with purple edges and a medium high viscosity💧. On the 👃 there are lots of ripe red fruits, strawberry🍓, raspberry, cherries🍒 and plums🍑 with oregano and dark chocolate🍫. ______ On the 👅 the wine is really juicy and dry with high acidity, medium plus tannins and alcohol, medium plus body with flavours of plums🍑, strawberry🍓, green spices and a bittery long aftertaste. ______ For me it is a good quality 🍷 which drinks well now📈 or the next 3-5 years. I would serve it on 10-13°C for the best experience.
