“We don’t belong here...” . This is a scene that happens in a story I’m writing called The Divine. Without spoiling anything, basically life is very hard for a Divine in the world. Basil and Amber are have kind caretakers who took them in when they were orphaned as kids (the orphanage has gained 4 more children since then, so 6 in all). Most Divine aren’t so lucky. Still, due to some of the terrible stuff he’s witnessed firsthand, Basil is restless and feels like they belong with their own kind. When he’s upset, he flies up to this spot on the roof. Amber usually finds him and they talk things through, sharing their worries. Anyway, this drawing was really fun to work on. For once I’m actually happy with it. That will probably change in a day or two but oh well 😆 Oh, also swipe to see closeups and a time lapse! This took 5 hours and 4 minutes to make. Was hoping to shave some time off how long it takes me to draw things, but maybe I’ll get there one day. For anyone interested in the story, I’ve already posted the prologue on my deviantart and AO3 accounts.
