MacReady is a bit of a mystery and seems determined to keep it that way. Windows remains fascinated. The hair helps -- half the guys in the Castro would kill for that hair -- wavy but not heavy, maybe a scrape of pomade to keep it under that stupid hat of his; minimal effort, maximum effect. He's wanted to pull it from the second he met him. Get his fingers stuck, breathe it in while his face gets scraped to shit by their beard hair.
