Title: Christmas With The Elf King

This story centers around a young woman baker who desires to work in her family’s bakery as well as celebrate the season with her mother and little sister.

However, all that changes when a yearly tradition has her and two other villagers from her home to the Undying Lands of Ravensong as part of a treaty between elves and humans. Those taken, either humans of craft or maidens, are given a life of luxury while their families are handsomely rewarded for their family member’s sacrifice. The only issue with this? Elves don’t celebrate Christmas. Something that won’t do for Noelle. Therefore, she does everything in her power to bring the Christmas season to the Undying Lands of Ravensong.

One of the things I enjoyed while reading this book was the details it gave. From having Noelle describing a recipe to simply basking Christmas traditions such as picking a tree, I loved the warmth that came with them. As a matter of fact, I too also had warm feelings of my previous Christmases as these events were being experienced in the text.

On the note of Noelle, I loved her perspective as a baker and overall young woman who simply is brought joy by simple pleasures of life (ex: baking, family, and Christmas just to name a few things). She was passionate about what she loved and the reader could tell.

Lastly, I love how this story was filled with surprises I hadn’t seen coming or predicted. Looking forward to reading more from this author in the near future.
