Do you have any embarrassing holiday memories?

Porco: Not really embarrassing, but I chipped my tooth on a table one Christmas.

[Marcel: “It wasn’t on a table.”]

Porco: Yes, it was. Shut up!

[Marcel: “And he didn’t chip his tooth.”]

Porco: Stop! This is my interview.

So what exactly happened?

[Marcel: “His braces got caught on some chick’s lip ring.”]

What is a strange holiday tradition that you do that others don't?

Porco: There’s this small creek in the backyard of our parent’s house. Marcel and I run through it on Christmas Eve.

[Annie: “Morons.”]

Porco: Annie’s too chicken to do it with us.

Show us your gingerbread house design.

Porco: You guys are going to love this.

Porco: Tad-da!

[Marcel: “What the fuck is that?”]

Porco: It’s my gingerbread house.

[Marcel: “No, but... what the hell you dummy. It’s Halloween.”]

Porco: I like Halloween.

[Marcel: “It’s supposed to be Christmas.”]

Porco: I like Halloween! I worked hard on this!

[Marcel: “It’s not about you. It’s Christmas.”]

If you couldn’t have a holiday dinner this year, what fast food would you be eating instead?

Eren: Ugh! Taco Bell! I fucking love Taco Bell.

[Armin: “Taco Bell for a holiday dinner?”]

What’s your go-to order?

Eren: A chalupa supreme with fire sauce and those little potato things on the side.

What is a strange holiday tradition your family has that others don’t usually do?

Eren: My mom always wanted a daughter so we always make these holiday flower crowns each year. I’ve gotten pretty good at them, but I’d honestly much rather decorate a gingerbread house.

Do you wear the flower crowns?

Eren: Unfortunately, yes. But I’m used to it.

When your family gathers for a holiday meal, how many generations are there?

Eren: Four? Five? *counts in head* Five.

That’s quite a bit!

Eren: Is it? I have my grandparents, my parents, me and my brother and his kids... Damn it. That’s four. Four.

Do you have any embarrassing holiday memories?

Erwin: I wouldn’t say it was any particular memory, but I happen to be the one that is guaranteed to slip on ice or snow. It makes it very difficult to participate in any outdoor activities.

[Hange: “By difficult, he means fun for us.”]

[Miche: “We all vote to go ice skating every year just to watch Erwin fall. Even Levi shows up.”]

Erwin: You fall just as often, Miche.

[Miche: “There’s just a certain... finesse when you do it dude.”]

What gifts do you like giving?

Erwin: I struggle with gift giving because I want to be sure I am giving what the person wants and not just something for them to pretend to be excited over.

[Miche: "No one is excited over your gifts, dude."]

Erwin: Exactly.

So I guess that answers what gifts you like giving, but what gifts do you usually give then?

Erwin: I--

[Levi: “An automatic soap dispenser.”]

[Miche: “A pocket watch. You got Hange a ladle??”]

Does your family use any special dishes for holiday celebrations?

Erwin: We do a lot of traditional German dishes. I really like anything with sausage or potatoes.

Levi: I’m not that picky when it comes to food.

[Hange: “You are incredibly picky, Shorty.”]

Levi: *sighs* I don’t really like ham. It’s weird. I also don’t like that marshmallow shit people feel the need to put on sweet potatoes.

If you couldn't have a holiday dinner this year, what fast food would you be eating?

Levi: Which fast food do I like? Hmm... I would probably choose KFC.

[Miche: “Hell yeah you would!”]

Do you eat KFC a lot?

Levi: Not that much, but it’s my favorite.

What gifts do you like giving?

Levi: I just like giving things that I think people would use.

So... practical gifts?

Levi: Yeah.

Do you think everyone likes the gifts you give?

Levi: I think so.

It seems everyone thinks you’re a great gift giver.

Hange: No, that’s shit’s everywhere. Have you ever made it through a holiday season without seeing it?

What is the worst holiday gift you’ve ever received?

Hange: Socks. God, I hate socks. I don’t even like wearing them and getting them as a gift is like forcing me to wear them.

[Levi: “Maybe you should take the hint and start wearing socks.”]

Hange: I don’t like socks, Levi!

[Levi: “Your feet stink! You need them.”]

Hange: I won’t wear them!

So I’m guessing Levi bought you the socks.

Hange: Yes.

Did you ever write or receive a letter from Santa?

Hange: Yes, but not the letter you’re thinking of *winks*

Don’t you have a brother?

Hange: Yes, well. I wasn’t satisfied with that one.

What is your favorite holiday dish?

Kenma: I really like potatoes. So maybe something with potatoes in them.

Kenma: Mashed potatoes? Or that au gratin stuff.

What gifts do you like receiving?

Kenma: I really like getting food gifts.

So like a gift card?

Kenma: Well then I have to get the food. I like when it’s brought to me.

What's your favorite thing about the weather getting colder?

Kenma: Socks.

Kenma: I like the warm ones. The wool ones that are thick and soft.

Are you a cook-all-day for holiday dinner type of person, or order-in type of person?

Levi: I wouldn’t say I’m either. I don’t really cook all day, but I do prefer having holiday dinners cooked rather than ordered in. Usually the four of us discuss who will make what beforehand and it ends up being a sort of potluck meal.

What would you say you normally bring?

Levi: I’m the most particular about the turkey, so I usually like making that myself.

Do you have any embarrassing holiday memories?

Levi: None that I can remember. My mom has a photo of me taking a shit on Santa’s lap as a baby, but that’s about it.

[Erwin: “We’ve seen that photo.”]

Is it bad?

[Erwin: “It’s bad.”]

[Miche: “It wasn’t just a shit. It was a full blowout.”]

[Hange: “Santa’s face was 👁👄👁 ”]

What is your holiday drink order?

Levi: I like a medium flat white with oat milk and an extra shot. It’s not too sweet.

The extra shot is necessary?

Levi: Very.

What is your favorite holiday dessert?

Erwin: I actually like a lot of different flavors. I’m particularly fond of anything chocolate.

[Miche: “We know.”]

Erwin: I also enjoy gingerbread, but I’d have to say Miche makes a delicious spicy chocolate bourbon bundt cake that I find myself anticipating each year.

If you could relive any holiday moment, what would it be?

Erwin: I don’t know if it counts because it’s not one particular memory, but I would love to make Christmas cookies with my Oma again.

Was that something you did every year?

Erwin: Just about. She always had such a strict schedule for which cookies needed to be made when and what plate they should be served on. I have a lot of wonderful memories of that time.

How old were you then?

Erwin: From the moment I could hold a spoon to about fourteen.

What's your favorite thing about the weather getting colder?

Erwin: I lean more towards preferring colder weather so I have a lot of things I enjoy.

You can name a few.

Erwin: Sweaters, warm baths, hot drinks, I really enjoy spiced wine, as well as cozy blankets. Reading indoors when it’s cold outside feels especially nice.
