It’s barely winter here and my heart craves for rain tonight. It should rain and I must listen to it sitting by the window with either thoughts in mind or a book in hand. In the hope anything that can fix the heartache.

There goes my winter as cold as below zero there goes the cold that surrounds my soul there goes the freezing soul looking for sun there goes the shadow of far head turning to try not to look on what could be, there it goes the will to go on, like a current in the ocean sweeping the shore and erasing the marks, there it goes wanting, trying and going My winter that gets all over the body the season that doesn’t mind,numbing, forgetting there goes the hope, disappearing like wonderland bubbles there goes a woman, despite of everything,standing tall. There goes this season and have to live with it.

This winter is not what I would like it to be. The weather has been horribly bad and I have been sick most of the time. And yet there is beauty even in the darkest of times and little pieces of beauty and light can be found if we just keep our eyes open. It's the last day before Christmas today and I was out and about with my Dad. We went to a place with a really nice view over the foggy and snowy valley and it was still bright when we returned home so we even managed to walk to the lake uphill behind my house. It was a wonderful day outside in nature and I think my Dad really enjoyed the views despite the grey and dark weather. New snow came and went on the weekend and I fell ill with the stomach flu. By now I am quite tired of being sick all the time... Three colds and now this, but I guess it is inevitable when working with kids. At least I have been feeling much better again today and was able to laugh quite a bit when I was talking to my parents. My mom told me the last time I had stomach flu (when I was about 5 years old) I told her not to feel sad if I die. Apparently I was a quite overdramatic 5 year old but I totally relate, I felt horribly weak yesterday. Luckily I am feeling like I have the worst already far behind me and am looking forward to tomorrow, because the weatherforecast says it's gonna be a sunny day. I love the beautiful snow. It has snowed all day and I have just come inside after shoveling my driveway for 1,5 hours! The last few days have been unusually warm and all the snow has melted. Now the ice is entirely visible and you can see every crack and bubble in it. It is a very interesting view and especially with the drone it is so fascinating to see. And even though this view is absolutely amazing, I can't wait for the cold weather to return.
