Post Twenty-Nine. Writing Friends. I have quite a lot of mates who, like me, enjoy writing and creating. There is the gals at the disability magazine, the kids who assist with reading books for my Book Review Project and the wonderful people in community action groups that I collaborate on journal therapy and Narrative Practice workshops with. Mostly, winning lotto, setting up a homeless shelter, not working under the thumb of the government and being able to live on a self property with my family. Realistically? Post motivation for everyone in my circle. When you think you want to quit, revisit this. Everyone has a life full of ups and downs. Sadness is normal and happiness is fleeting. I have to say that one of my biggest Writing Inspirations is Rupi Kaur. Her words speak to me like no other. We've shared a lot of the same trials, though she courageously explores hers with her audience with an honesty I am yet to achieve. Also her reasons for writing definitely align with my own. Post Twenty-Five for the #WIPandme prompt challenge. What book made you a writer? Such a loaded question... A love of books made me a writer, but novels like this one by Phoebe Gloeckner and similar diary style books such as So Much To Tell You and The Bride Stripped Bare helped me realise I could publish the things I've written as well, that people would enjoy this sort of contemporary art. That by doing so I would connect with the other humans I share this wonderful planet with in new ways.
