I write because I want to leave the last few traces of my existence, so someone could hold onto it when my memories wisp away. These souls who stumble over the odds of life- I want them to know that it is okay to be vulnerable, to breakdown, and, to love.
Writing brings me the ability to describe magic in near blurry words, to describe something so profound and miraculous. And just like that, something that seems extremely out of reach will someday sit softly on your palms. And you'd gaze at it wondering how'd it happen.
I write because I want at least one person to believe in the magic that I talk about. I want them to know that- you can only learn to get away if you learn to get through. And life, is not about filling every page with adventure and sharp memories. Some pages are meant to be blank, they’re simply about unwinding, being with yourself and nowhere else.
I write so it could help someone untangle the mess, and I write for it helps me to untangle the knots I’ve tied all across my soul.

I have a lot to say
I am a writer
I can't simply say nothing
You ask me why I write
I want to do what I love
I want to provide an escape
I want to encourage myself
I want to protect creativity
I want to inspire people
And I want one's imagination to go wild
This is the goal of a writer.
Why We Write
This Is Why I Write
Ever since I was a child, I enjoyed writing; It is an outlet for me to release the emotions I have inside me, especially when I do not wanna burden people with my emotions.
Growing up, I love keeping diaries and journals. There, I would write everything that makes me happy. My everyday endeavors are well-detailed, my kilig moments with my crushes are written using my pink glitter pen, my fights with my best friends and how we managed to reconcile after. My notebooks filled with my adventures became my price possessions.
Now that I'm a young adult, though exhausted with hand-written shenanigans, I still wanna write and be able to express my feelings. Thus, this blog. I still write about all sorts of things in here, but now it is mostly about the things that make me sad, the friendships I have lost, the heartbreaks I have encountered and overcome.
I have realized how true the words of Anne Frank are. "Paper is more patient than people". Instead of boring them with my 3AM chaotic thoughts, Instead of blabbering, unsure if the other person understands-- I release them through words.
I used to write for fun. Now, I write to keep myself sane from all the emotions I wanna subdue...
The Inspiring Reasons Why People Write
Why do you write?
Tomorrow is the National Day on Writing, an annual event founded by the National Council of Teachers of English because, in their words, “writing needs greater attention and celebration.” We couldn’t agree more, so to celebrate, we want to know why you write! Share what fuels your creative fire with #WhyIWrite. Here are a few of our favorite answers so far:
From Instagram user alexandrasendas:
I write because I like being creative and seeing my imagination come to life 💕
From Instagram user barbiedollnbear:
I write because it’s my passion. The words don’t always come out when I want them to but when they do, it’s the best feeling in the world.
How does it end?
Finally, the end of a long journey. The wind buffets around me as I unscrew the jar's lid and prepare to dump____________________________
