Wise’s design is based of a mušḫuššu from Mesopotamian mythology, with early Wise being designed off of the hydra from Greek mythology. 

The reason why I chose these two creatures is because of the constellation that WISE 0855 is found in.

That being the constellation Hydra also known as the Babylonian constellation Bašmu which is similar to in description to mušḫuššu. 

He lost the other heads as he aged and cooled down, though he can conjure the figments of them when mad or as a show of strength. Their skulls are a reminder of what once was.
