Easy Witchcraft Tips
Great for college students and simple/beginning witches alike! It's very simple, and I see people do this quite often, so I thought I'd spread the wealth! It's affordable, super easy, and it doesn't requite anything but a spray bottle, two measuring cups with a spout (or any kind of pourable cup, like a folded paper cup), a little cloth or a very five mesh strainer, salt (and/or herbs), and moon water. And, optionally, a tablespoon of vodka or rubbing alcohol. And honestly? I've definitely used a bit of hand sanitizer before. Don't look at me like that.
It's so simple. In your spouted cups and spray bottle, dump in some salt and shake it about (of course you can use your preferred cleansing method, but this involves no smoke and no frustrated RAs). Dump that salt out and discard it properly. Add in moon water and salt and make sure it's all dissolved. Then you can add whatever herbs you want to add for their desired effect, or just salt for cleansing/negativity banishing. This is also when you'd add you alcohol choice, to help prevent mildew or mold. Let sit overnight.
In the morning, place your thin cloth over your other cup and make it a little concaved so it catches the clumps of soaked herbs. You want to do this into another wide-rimmed vessel because the small spray bottle opening won't give enough space to catch the herbs and let the liquid through without making a bit of a mess. Squeeze out all the liquid you can.
Then, carefully pour your cleansing spray into your spray bottle and voila! A quick, mostly hassle-free cleansing spray. It's a fine enough mist that it won't harm things like carpet, blankets, or most surfaces and it'll dry very fast. It's easy to conceal if you're still in the broom closet, and very easy to make in hidden spots. If anyone asks what it is, here are some excuses I've used that worked really well:
"I use it to spray on my makeup sponges/brushes because it holds powder very well."
"Saltwater is great for drying up acne and I had a flare up so I make a face mist."
"I thought it would smell nice."
"It's for my plants." (If they didn't notice it's salty)
"I use it to clean up sticky messes when I don't want to use chemicals." (GREAT if you are known to have sensitive skin)
"Honestly, I forgot. I'll dump it out later."
"It's to make dust a little damp so it's easy to wipe up." (this is actually very true, try it on a dusty shelf sometime. Much easier than a wet cloth.)
