honestly I think Macaque could have the potential to know 'the narrative' - if he embraced more chaotic magic/powers...but it could potentially make him go quite mad.

Witch Macaque certainly has some 4th wall breaking going on in every story he is in.

In where the rebellion goes ahead as planned - however when Sun Wukong shows some hesitation in killing celestial children and other innocents in the way.

His shadow makes the brutal decision for the king - the only surviving prince of the spirit macaque clan has his own personal vengeance against Heaven and the Jade Emperor's court.

Sun Wukong learns the other had used him and the brotherhood for his own endgame - the stone monkey betrayed badly by the shadow demon he thought he knew and loved.

Sun Wukong barely escapes with an badly injured Nezha, his brotherhood was ensnared by Macaque's powerful magic - the shadow demon turning the remaining celestial court into his own puppets.

Sun Wukong must stop Macaque before the other is successful in tearing apart this cycle in his blind request for revenge.
