Progress on my wheel of the year!!

I painted the colors ... a bit ago 🤣 and today I finally made the lines with a black marker and written the names and dates!!

I’ve had these brown eggshells saved for quite a while, and I finally got the perfect idea for them! 

Since eggshells are associated with protection and safety, I made them into protection charms. Also, because there were exactly four of them, I can keep them in the four corners of my room <|:^)

Do y'all make bracelets for your deities? Jewelry is so important to me personally, I never leave the house without it. I use Deity bracelets to carry my gods with me. I can look at them and know my god or goddess is with me. I've seen many wonderful makes of them done by pagan shops but since I make jewelry I find getting the materials myself is much more personal and intimate. Like a devotional rite!

Dionysus features skulls to honor his place in rebirth and as homage to him almost being a cthonic deity. Wood beads to represent his connection to earth and as a provider to humanity. And amethyst as his most preferred stone.

Aphrodite is represented by pearl and rose quartz as her preferred stone. Also heart and shell beads to represent her loving energy and connection to the sea.

Apollo is represented by sunstone beads and citrine beads which are favored stones. Along with sun-like imagery in the silver beads. He is also known as the god of the silver bow so I thought silver in his bracelet was necessary.

This is just a simple bracelet involving the Mati or evil eye which is a significant protective symbol in Hellenic Polytheism.

My next project is for Hermes as he has helped me significantly during travel and during my studies. All I need are peridot chip beads and dice beads, I've got hematite.

The goal is to make one dedicated to all the gods. Hence the "Hellenic Polytheist" bit. But it is a significant journey gaining materials and I will enjoy every bit. Though I will proudly announce that Dionysus will always be on my wrist as he is my most patron deity. (Love that guy).

Anyway I just wanted to share how I incorporate my craft into.. my craft. Maybe it can inspire others to make jewelry of their gods, not even if the Hellenic Pantheon! If you do please tag me!

Incense Magick Maker

Step one: grind up your herbs in the coffee grinder, the finer the better. My herb was food grade lavender.

Step two: Divide the ground herb into two separate bowls, a wet bowl and a dry bowl. Into the wet bowl, mix into the herb with some water so the consistency is a modable clay. Sacred water is great for this.

Step three: Form the clay into a cone shape in any way that makes the most sense for your body. For me, that involves using my thumbs and middle fingers, but whatever way works best.

Roll the wet cone into the dry bowl, coating the cone in a layer of powdered lavender.

You can either leave the cone to dry over night, alternatively---

Place in oven for 40 minutes to an hour to dehydrate the cones!

Mabon 2020

I very methodically made a pie, but just for the lil witchlings at home let me tell you a secret...  Everything was store bought.  The pie crust- store bought.  Apple pie filling- store bought.  Syrup & brown sugar- store bought.  

So, step 1 with pie is to dust both sides of the crust (after carefully laying it out) with flour.  I also use a rolling pin to kind of straighten any ridges and smooth things.  On a whim I did this- originally I was going to use cinnamon but couldn’t find cinnamon because it had fallen off the shelf.  So I used 100% pure maple syrup that I save for special occasions and drew an acorn on the base of the pie then a circle around the acorn.  I uh, listen, art is not my strong suit, I did my best finger painting of an acorn.  If the universe doesn’t judge my shoddy art, neither should you.

The acorn is to represent Mabon, growth, prosperity, and new life.  The circle, well, we all have feelings about circles and I’d like to keep mine to myself.  

After that, I dusted it with brown sugar (unpictured) to sweeten the new life, prosperity, and growth; basically, I want a nice easy growth for a bit, not a hard knocks life of u gonna learn to gro today.

Step2, the apples.  This is unpictured, but this is where a lot of the ~magic~ came in.  I very carefully arranged each apple slice with a fork so they formed a ring in the pie, they were all facing the same direction, etc.  This is where I put a lot of energy.  The goal wasn’t to make it perfection, the goal was to put my intent and love into placing each apple where it goes.  

Step3, the crust.  I’m not uh, the most gifted artist.  I tried to make leaves, you know, fall leaves, tie it all together...  If you’re like me and your leaves are awkward and you kind of wish you used a cookie cutter instead, just do what I do and go “well, fuck it, the universe knows what I meant and I tried my best” and pop that baby in the oven.  The leaves go above the acorn because the acorn grows into a sweet little tree of leaves.

And then you have Mabon Pie.

How the heck does one find and make friends who are in the same "groups" when you aren't in school and forced to socialize anymore?

Like I wanna make some friends (especially irl who I can hang out with) who fall into the same groups as me (lgbt, pagan/heathen/witch, same fandoms) but like I don't know how to anymore. Especially with this corona stuff because there is no pride, no pagan festivals. And I have no idea how to meet people like that around here..
