A few weeks ago I started a series of posts on my Substack blog The Witching Hour consisting of all my media reviews from the early days of The Witches’ Voice (1996) through 2008 (after that I moved reviews to my blog). I’m up to #8 (PRACTICAL MAGIC) and look forward to posting more reviews and commentary from that incredibly dynamic era of the modern paganism and witchcraft movement. Witchvox.com Retires Website after 22 years Ending an Era

While I am not surprised that the site is shutting down, I'm more than a twinge sad to see the ending of an important era for our Witchcraft

In case folks didn’t hear, this is happening. Site traffic had dried up, but WitchVox was a staple for sooo long. This makes me sad chase this was one of the first websites many of us ever found. Thankfully, the owners are making sure it’s archived so it’ll be accessible for research.

Wow, I never actually used this site for networking but I remember it being the place to go if you were a newbie in the community before Facebook was a thing.

Do you know of any sites where Heathens can meet each other? For dating and friendship and such?

For a start there is our Facebook group where you can connect with 18,000+ heathens from across the globe.

You can also join us as a Charter Member for free to gain access to our exclusive closed groups which include regional groups where you can find other local heathens and attend events hosted by our regional ambassadors.

If you’re looking for something outside of TAC there are various pages to be found online. I’ve tried a few but the most reliable in my experience is Witchvox. It’s more geared towards wicca and general paganism but it’s a place to start.

The duty of the seeker is hard; maybe these links will make it easier

Witchvox is a tool to allow one to search for covens or organizations in their local area.

In the old days the Internet wasn’t around to make finding a coven easier. If you are passionate about the Craft, you often must ask around, go to your nearest occult/metaphysical/new age shop, introduce yourself, and inquire. 

Remember the popular saying: “When a student is ready, the coven will present itself.”
