teenage skateboarding AU... where eiji is a rookie skater who knows next-2-nothing about the sport and visits his local skate park, determined to learn himself.
he's ridiculed by the experienced skaters for his lack there of, until this popular skater who's reputable for his psychotic set of skills defends him from the crowd of snobs. his name is, "Ash Lynx", and damn, is he cool--but despite selflessly defending this unimportant newbie, he's not so friendly towards eiji... or really, anyone, for that matter... he's quite reserved, despite his accumulated popularity.
but the more ash inconspicuously observes eiji as he skates and watches him fall on his face repeatedly, he's obligated--or somewhat eager, you could say, to teach him a thing or two, but warns eiji that it's from an unexplained sense of responsibility, and nothing more.
"what an idiot," he thinks to himself.
"poor kid's a wreck, it's painful to watch. I guess I should help him, or something."
these brief lessons expand over the course of weeks, and ash finds himself closing the gap between the two of them after each one. his protective impulse has grown intensely ever since, and he finds himself feeling... strange, for some reason. strange, when he gazes into eiji's playful brown eyes for a little too long. he's not sure what to do with himself. his heart is heavy. he's afraid. should he run away? does he want to run away? where would he even go? or should he set his pride aside and just be honest with himself--and be honest with eiji, too. his intentions have changed.
you didn't ask for all of that, but I'm giving it to you anyway. hope this helped!
DAMN you went hard for this. Tempted to write at least a oneshot for it just because of how much work you put in. For now though I'll just add it to the RNG list
